G-SHOCK, a favourite choice among the top surfers and beach-goers around the world, is proud to announce its first SLSA signature model. Surf Life Saving Australia is an iconic part of the Australian Beach Culture.

The base model is the GLX5600, which features one of the thinnest, compact, best fits of the entire G-SHOCK Series. This model comes equipped with a digital Tide Graph, which is a must-have function for surfers. The watch is made to represent the iconic Red & Yellow Flags that are seen in all Australian Beaches.

This Watch is accompanied with a round tin to replicate the life-saving rescue flotation devices used by these brave volunteers.

  There's a reason watch bands aren't normally white.

  It shows every bit of dirt, and little scratches on the surface go darker than the rest. Horrible colour choice in a watch.

  I'm going to go against the grain here and say that colour variant actually looks appealing to me.
  If you were surfing with this it would be pretty damn visible in the water if it ever came off your wrist, as opposed to a black/dark-coloured watch.

  I've had a couple of all-white G-Shock models before and I didn't find they actually got noticeably more dirty/scuffed or worn-looking than my black/dark-coloured resin watches.

    Plus white is much more closely associated with surf and beach culture. You don't see many matte blacks being used by SLSA clubs or equipment. It's a special edition, if you don't want it in white just get a standard GLX5600
