Banana Lily $4.99 + $3 Postage ($0 SYD C&C) @ Sydney Aquascapes

60

Banana Lilies are finally in stock again for this season. They are great for aquariums if you want to give your fish a bit of shade and places to hide from the lights.
If you have other plants, keep them trimmed so they don't cover the whole surface of your tank.

  • Low - High light, CO2 and Nutrients are not necessary.
  • Fast growing speed, leaves will reach the top of the aquarium.
  • The plant will propagate by shooting roots out of its leaves.

  • https://livefish.com.au/banana-lillies-piece-plant so tad overpriced…

Maybe do a combo pack with named plants??

Their shipping is $20 ;) That's where they make their margin.

      • Thanks for being somewhat disingenuous in your reply - in relation to livefish - they don't expect to sell one plant and you know that. They have flat rate shipping + free over $150. That you've stated that's how they make their margin is just wrong and a little slimy.

If you had just stated 8 bucks shipped is pretty good, I'd agree with you and if you make money from doing such sales I'd be gobsmacked. But my point stands $5 for a banana lily isn't a bargain many LFS sell them at that price and often cheaper.

        • Apologies, I was implying exactly what you mentioned: That they focus on massive orders and have a large postage to cover small ones. We more focus on having affordable smaller orders.

Did not intend to imply something else. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

  • This one could grow so fast (sending branches), not suitable for 10 gallon tank.

Yes, it does. You can trim it down, but that usually feels kind of bad to do to the plant XD
