Pretty decent price for these speakers. The s2000mkiii might be slightly better but not worth the extra $150.

Just missing out on the incredible tweeters. Does s1000 have dsp modes to select from?
The planar tweeters should be better in the 2000's but reading the comments on the youtube comparison they seem to be fairly equal. Low end bass is better on the 2000's.
How are these compare to a very budget passive setup? Like a Fosi amp from Amazon for $100-150 and $250 for a pair of speaker (or even a 2.1).

Yeah but the s2000mkiii can be at times purchased for $400…. now if you want the 'real deal' you'd go for the s3000 pros when they on sale for $600ish.
