When you buy these in store, you have to make an order from a self service station, and then pick up at a designated spot. You won't be able to just pick one up at the display section.
serious? first ikea ends partnership with xiao mi now sonos… I feel ripped off having gone into their smart eco system thinking there will be more coming.
Things to note - it only comes with the lamp base speaker (as pictured). You'll have to source your own lamp shade which are all out of stock at IKEA - best chance is second-hand (i.e., Gumtree, FB marketplace, eBay etc.).
As MessyG noted, Sonos and IKEA are ending their partnership which sucks - this collaboration was actually great.
I managed to pick up the glass shade a couple of weeks ago in store when they had no stock, by asking if they would sell one of the display ones, since they are stopping the product anyway. They knocked $20 odd off it too.

Yeah - their separately sold lamp shades are even named "Symfonisk" implying only Symfonisk lamp shades can be used.

Yup E27 - you can definitely use it without the lamp shade but it'll just look weird and too bright.

Anyone used these with an Apple TV 4K?
Have a single bookshelf speaker and kicking myself I didn't get two at the time. They are perfect for the Apple TV 4k. Some little issues though I have seen is that certain apps like 9Now Don't seem to work via airplay, not sure if it's a bug or intentional. It's annoying when watching the footy and I'm sending the audoi to another room when cooking dinner.

Why does it say "Wifi speaker". So its not a normal bluetooth speaker? Hate having to use some clunky app when there are better solutions.
It uses Airplay 2 rather than bluetooth to connect. Designed to be used with the Sonos app connecting to music apps.
So it doesn't even work with most phones? Interesting choice.
If your phone can download the Sonos app, then it works.

If you not going to use it as a light( just as a speaker) get some plastic ( decorative) flowers and use it as a bouquet.Problem solved.
