Does anyone know if this cashback is eligible on their own internal web best price search offer?

    • Yes it was eligible for me. Note: negotiated deal via Phone/Email/chat is not allowed.

      • +2

I don't use cash rewards that often. I see they technically apply a coupon for the price match, Even though it tracked, can it be invalidated later?

        • @TA can you please provide more info on this. My experience was positive with CR track and pay though.

      • So was it paid out or just tracked?

        • No way it was paid out. I think he means it was tracked.

        • +1

Remember the Deal last Feb 2022: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/684869
I bought an item from TGG which had the Price Beat Coupon applied. I was not confident if it will track and paid if a Price Beat coupon is applied. But then it did and now I the money in my bank account. See this: https://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/203542/95186/c03acb39-…

          • @io: Thanks, I just placed my order as well. I tried to avoid the discount, by they apply it by default. I think it should be fine if it comes up as tracked.

            • @boondocksaint: Did it track?

              • +1

@io: It did, thanks. If I did not waste so much time,I would have saved another $100 odd $,but of a bummer, but better than missing the entire cash back amount. Seeing as I could not actually remove the discount I would be surprised if they void it later and would definitely fight it

    • What is this “internal web best price search“

      • Sometimes on an item, it shows a button under the product you can click which searches and updates price to match if there is a better price elsewhere.

      • On the bigger purchases there is a button labelled "Check Price" that will 'search' other predetermined retailers and automatically apply that price. It's probably a pre-generated list that has been heavily vetted.

Anyone know i can use this on the outstanding payment links from big appliance purchase ?

    • +1

Aren't the outstanding payments made on a completely different website URL?

        • Genuinely interested… how did you organise to pay outstanding payments?
Was it a negotiated deal via Phone/Email/Chat
          Or is this Afterpay/LatitudePay/Zip?

          • @StevieRay: Go in store buy like a TV… If they don't have stock you can order it and they make you pay a deposit

            • @astarman: Well you've got nothing to lose then.

Make sure you come back to confirm if it tracks and gets paid so we all know the answer next time someone asks :)

Brings the C1 77 OLED down to 4444 shipped, damn… Might be time to pull the trigger

    • been sub 5000 for a while, might pull the trigger too thanks!

Was looking at this https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/lg-77-inches-c1-4k-uhd-self-l… myself, but my 65Cx is too young😥

      • +1

My 65 C1 is too young too :(

    • Add on the gift cards for further savings.
      Yes, read the t&cs.

      • I think only two gift cards can be used for online purchase, right? If you buy in store there is no limit, however you can't get cashback when you pay in store.

        • I got access to up to $4999 per gift card at 3% off via the macquarie banking portal.

    • well, technically the 12% cashback only applies to the part without GST. So it's 4995 - (4995 x 10 ÷ 11 x 0.12) + 55 = 4505.09

  • nintendo swtich ok?

    • -1

I don't see it in the exclusions so I'd say so.

  • 'Cashback is eligible on redemption of gift cards.'

Does this mean it will stack with 3% cashback on gift cards at shopback?

    • What ?

Says Cashback is eligible on redemption of gift cards.

      Yes

    • +2

Yes but keep in mind the good guys online only allows 2 gift card redemptions per transaction

      • Do they allow payment as part gc and remaining on paypal ?

        • Yes

    • Should shopback gift cards work?

JBL Tune 500 Wired On Ear Headphones. Good enough for kids to use at school.
https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/jbl-tune-500-wired-on-ear-hea… about $17 after cash back plus pay with any gift cards (two max).

  • don't get their site. says available for pickup at store. when i go to checkout, the store isn't available.

Do they have a cap for pickups, if store stock less then 3 they won't allow click and collect?

  • Thanks. Bought a Chromecast with Google tv stacked with 5% off Suncorp rewards gift card.

  • Fantastic. I can out my $50 gift card from the OLED price error to good use.

Are the upcoming Easter long weekend sales worth waiting for instead of using this ?

    • +1

Glass ball says…maybe. In all seriousness,it will depend on item and brand. Most are a little behind in releasing their 2022 models,so clearance sales are delayed. If something is already marked down now,the added cash back should en up cheaper than easter sales. Full price items will be a gamble imo, mo way to tell if that item will be on sale.

    • Depends what you wanna buy. Some items have good discounts at the moment, others not so much.

  • Is this the best way to get a switch OLED right now ?

    • No

    • -1

convince Putin to leave Ukraine and I'll buy one for you

  • Good chance to grab that TV RDY4ME

  • I’m assuming this won’t work on the commercial site?

    • +4

I'm assuming you did not read the post

      • Appreciate the positive response! Have a great day!

  • +5

Just purchased the LG C1 77inch. $5050 including delivery. 50 months interest free. $544.90 cashback recorded.

    • Do you need to be pre approved for this to work? Ive never done the interest free thing at any store before

Nevermind, I see they do credit checks, not about to lower my score for $3000

      • Yeah, I already have a Latitude account. It's not for everyone but is a great help with cash flow when big ticket items like this come up.

        • Always been interested in the interest free system, but feel like I would be paying more.

I assumed it can on only be used on the sale price, so couldn't negotiate/price match?

And that $8.95/month fee… can you pay it out early to minimise the months?
Obvs you can just get a shorter term, but I'd like to have the safety of the max about of time, but pay extra when I can afford it.

50 x 8.95 = $447.50 seemed to eat into most of the savings?

          • @neezy: It's a credit card and should be treated as such. The interest free on this card outweighs any potential month to month cost by a large margin when compared to other traditional CC purchases. Obviously if you have the disposable income on hand then you will save over the long term.

And yes, you never have to run out the full term on any of these interest free promotions and are free to pay off as much as you like, whenever you like. The system allows me to purchase things I otherwise wouldn't be able to afford. The monthly cost is more or less a moot point as it's the only CC I have and I use it for other things as well.

As a side note, it actually costs retailers a reasonable amount to provide this service as they are charged by the credit provider. This is why they are usually resistant to price matching and negotiating as they have to factor this into the overall price and can put them in the red.

            • -1

@The Fuzz 83: Why not then use Afterpay or Zip Pay as they are completely interest free. You should never be paying monthly fees to credit providers in this decade. They already make money in processing fees from retailers, why should consumers pay ? $8.95 a month in monthly fees is daylight robbery :D

              • @regenade: All credit cards have fees. You accept that when you start using them. If you don't need to use them then don't I guess. Lots of people would love to have a spare $5K lying around but that is not the reality for most. Btw, do Afterpay/Zip Pay even allow for purchases of this kind? I thought they had a limit of around $2K?

  • Uncapped 12% - with gift card used ?
    Perfect!

    • yes, but 12% of pre GST amount and can only use 2 gc online…so would be similar to their regular 10% sales once a month, plus instore you can use lots of GCs.

  • Does anyone know if you can pay off a Humm balance with Apple Pay?

  • How do you get gift cards?

    • Refer to the discounted gift card page for a list of discount gift card portals stocking TGG gift cards.

If you have Ultimate Home gift cards or TCN Home gift cards, you can use them to purchase a TGG gift card at a TGG store (as long as staff are happy for you to do that). Alternatively, if your actual spend at TGG can be covered by one Ultimate Home (Visa) gift card, you can directly input the Ultimate Home (Visa) gift card card number, expiry date and CVV2 into the checkout.

Keep in mind that TGG only allow you to redeem a maximum of two TGG gift cards in one transaction online, so plan accordingly.

  • Will Cashback track if I call to get a price match on an item?

    • +1

That fall under negotiated deals so probably not

    • +1

Mine just tracked. I had no way to remove the code anyhow, they apply it by default

      • was that through phone negotiation or the internal price beat that appears on some items?

        • Internal automatic price beat

  • Any deals?

  • +1

Any split system aircon deals for an average sized master bedroom? I don't really know anything about them.

    • +1

Fujitsu is running their usual "Free Money" rebate scheme - worth a look. Good brand.

  • Does Cashrewards have issues if you have a mixed cart of items? Looking to get installation done but there's no cashback on that.

  • Damn bought something for $190 online literally yesterday and used the current cashback at the time. I think it's too late to cancel and reorder :(

Oh well in real terms it's only about $15 lost I'm not going to stress about it

    • Refund it

  • Any recommendations for Washer / Dryer / Dishwasher / Vaccum

    • Bosch series 6 tend to be favoured highly by choice and users. I have Electrolux and they don't seem to last more than 5 years. My last 3 laundry appliances were Electrolux . I've given up on them and will buy Bosch next

If you are looking at buying all that you might do well going in store and haggling for bulk buy

      • My wife is quite set on electrolux for our new laundry for some reason. We are after a washing machine and heat pump dryer stack. What issues have you had?

        • We've chosen Electrolux washing machine and dryer stack for past 15years due to Choice.
We've pretty much had to replace every 5 years.
On a few occasions I counted myself fortunate that I paid extra for the 5yr warranty with Good Guys.
Both have just bricked themselves within 2 months of each other, again.

Actually, all 3 times the washing machines comes back with an E10 error which means absolute jack, and yes I looked it up and followed the instructions to resolve.

Other than that, when they worked they worked well =/

I really hate that it is more economical to buy new again than to have repair person come in to take a look at it.

      • Do you reckon I can get more than a 12% discount in-store?

  • How do I know cashback is active? the browser plugin does not show it, which is unusual? Do you just click through and hope for the best?

    • Just click through the Cashrewards website.

    • The same with mine, it didn't show the tick on the browser plugin.I just bought something after clicking through Cashback website in the link above and got a confirmation email of the cashback.

  • Can you use the concierge $20 voucher on this¿

  • Thanks, needed a new washing machine and tv for my bedroom!

    • +2

Great place to put the washing machine, you'll be able to throw the dirty bed sheets straight in ;-)

  • helppppp

i can't see where I enter gift card details on the payment page???

    • nevermind. I found it, its on the page before payments :)

  • So I can pay the whole amount using gcs & it'll track 12% CB on top of that?
