you can price match at jb and save another $10 if you have the amex offer

  • Is this a good microphone to use for Microsoft Teams calls?
Since WFH is looking more and more a permanent thing, might as well have a good setup at home.
Planning to pair with a DSLR camera as webcam (currently using Logitech c920 though).

    • This type of microphone will pick up a lot of ambient noise around you unless you place it right in front of your mouth. I got one and stopped using it and went back to an older ATR2000USB dynamic microphone.

Dynamic mic might be preferred, but for the level of audio quality you're seeking, there's currently a couple of Razer mics on sale that will do a great job:

$50 for the Seiren Mini on Amazon
$84 for the Seiren X on eBay (which has a better tonal balance than the AT2020)

The Seiren X is probably the value pick of the 3, and at the price level of this AT2020 USB+, you should be able to do better in terms of tonal balance and the detail resolving of the mic.

    • I use one for work and I place it next to my laptop which has noisy fans running.
My colleagues can't hear the noisy fan when using the Audio Technica, but when I use the built in microphone of the laptop, they say they can hear the noisy fan of the laptop.

I haven't had any issues with this mic picking up ambient noise, but YMMV as seen above(Re: DanielKCheung)

    • I have mine on a boom so that I can place it closer to my mouth. If you have a laptop the included table stand works great for Teams calls if you place it between yourself and the laptop. It is usually not visible in the video when Teams calling.

Would this be any good for creating audio recordings? Such as voice overs
