  • Cheers bought

  • Is this more heavy duty than the F100?

    • +1

      F100A is 3-12Kg.

  • Has anyone tried this with curved screens?
Problem with curved screens isn't just the weight but the fact the centre of gravity is further out.

I probably should do a calc on the eqv moment induced with the offset venter of gravity.

My cheaper bayou (1/3rd price) allows you to tension the springs. Although I don't have a curved screen, I'd be surprised if this is an issue.

I'd suggest looking at the instructions to see the tension abilities

I have the cheaper versions too.
Springs (even fully tensioned) and mount (that tilts the backing vesa plate) ain't strong enough.

It's just high school physics…it is indeed an issue.

So I'll buy this to open it up and read the instruction manual before even knowing if it's suitable?

        • +1

I have the NB F80 (2 - 6.5kg) holding a Mi 34" curved ultrawide which is about 5.8kg (without the original stand). I had to tighten things up on the arm and it's been fine for the past 12 months or so, ymmv.

No issues with the F100A and Dell 32" curved (S3221QS)

      • Nice! I've got the Dell 32 curved too.

I'll get this then. Appreciate the helpful reply.

    • Not sure the down votes for a genuine question.

  • It says it will support up to 42" and 2-15kg. I have the Samsung 49inch and am looking for a mount that can handle it. The Samsung is 14.6kg. Not sure I should chance it with this one. Any recommendations for the 49in monitors?

    • +1

If you’ve got a 49” definitely the Ergotron HX I got the aorus 48” and the Ergotron HXand it is a TANK.

I believe you may need the additional HD pivot mount for the 49” curved.

Brateck Single Monitor Select Gas Spring Aluminum Monitor Arm Fit Most 17"-43" Monitor Up to 18kg per Screen VESA75x75/200x100/100x100 try this one ebay or ergotron hx.

      • If Brateck works well on Odyssey Neo, I may consider it as spending almost $400 on monitor mount isn't worth it for me imo.

  • I recently bought an Alienware AW2721D 27" - does anybody have any recommendations between this or the F100A?
Monitor listed as 6.3kg on the Dell website, I'm guessing this would be overkill.. but I really hate how massive the stock stands are

    • I use the F100A to hold up a 10kg 32" ultrawide - it does it no problem.

  • Hi folks,

Just wondering what monitor arms people are using. I got two Heymix arms for cheap, but found that even the absolute stiffest of settings pulls down my Dell S3422DWG. Would the North Bayou F100A have the guts to keep my lovely ultrawide from sagging, or should I spring for this bad boy?

  • Your screen 7.7Kg
    Heymix 9Kg max

  • I would like to use this to mount an old imac (about 12kg in weight) - is this arm robust enough (it says it is rated up to 15kg) or should I look elsewhere?
