This Lego set was at an almighty great price back in Dec 21, and was spewing I wasn't one of a few lucky to snag one @ $383.20 from either Big W or Amazon AU!!!

With the recent Big W 20% off All Toys deal and also notification that there was a Target 20% off Big Brand Toys sale, I was getting a bit itchy. I almost pulled the trigger @ $455.20 from Target, reducing it down to $445.20 with the $10 Off - sign up offer. Amazon AU had matched the $455.20 price in the past days.

Wasn't content with a measly $10 off, so was trying to find other ways to effectively get the price down a bit more. Counting my blessings and being occupied with the Prezzee Easter Smart Card Get Bonus deal earlier today, was pretty wrapped I was able to get some free money to put towards this set at Target.

Low and behold, I did another check on Amazon AU and found it priced at $429.00. Ended up converting the free money into Amazon AU gift cards.

I'm a happy boy… Although not sure if that'll change after delivery when the missus sees wtf I bought :O

I'm not buying it until I can get it at the lowest price

  • This or the Bugatti? I like blue more than green

      Why not get both? =D

Not the most historic low, but I grabbed the Bugatti back from this deal as it was being retired.

      • If you can only choose one?

        • lol well obviously I can't help you with that decision… I couldn't help myself hence why I own/shortly be the owner of both… Opps!

          • @AnDyStYLe: Well once you have both built let me know which is better? Like pro and cons, maybe put a score 1 to 10 on both see which come up higher.

            • @CyberMurning: Bugatti has always been one of my fav supercars, so I'd always opt for that over the Lambo.

Although that said, I feel like I'm now in a bit of a rabbit hole, I'm now eyeing off the Nintendo 71374 set.

I'm generally not one to go crazy over Legos, but the sense of nostalgia with the Nintendo is setting off the temptation. The Voltron one was the tip of the iceberg!

@AnDyStYLe: Nintendo is a really fun build! The way the cartridge system works is really awesome. I regret not buying Voltron

      • I got my Bugatti from the same deal. Now I think $460+ is a bit too much for this series of cars. Waiting for the next deal of the Sian if it drops below $400.

        • Just realized Big W was selling the Sian for $383.2 couple days ago. How could I miss that

    • This or the Bugatti? I like blue more than green

The Sian because it resembles the real-life car a hell of a lot more closely.

The Chiron set is incredibly ugly from the front and the hood area especially looks nothing like the real-life vehicle.

Out of the last three Technic flagship automotive sets (the Porsche 911 GT3 RS, the Bugatti Chiron and the Lamborghini Sian), the Sian is by far the best-looking and has the best profile. It's just a lot more sleek, low and angular than the other two, which look a bit too bloated, round and fat by comparison.

Anyone know if they've fixed all the mismatched greens on this set?

    • +1

Apprantly they have not and they won't fix.

      Still 50/50 on this model.

The Bugatti is just to heavy for the springs/suspension layout. And the gearbox has a lot of tension (in the low gears) in the gears which sometimes don't engage.

In this model the suspension is fixed but the gearbox still has it's issues.

    • +1

      No and it'll never happen.

See my response here. This issue also affects the Bugatti Chiron but to a lesser degree (see this post and this post on Reddit as an example) as there's less bright blue pieces on the Chiron's exterior panels whereas the Sian has the bright lime green colour on all of its exterior panels.

Same price as toyrus if you do not have Prime. Anyway I am not buying until it goes under $400 😊 still more than 6 months before retire so let wait for santa

    • Is it going to retire this year? Bugatti is still not yet…

      • But Bugatti always no stock on lego website so could be retire (even though news says not)
