  • Don't bother. US app do not work through VPN.

    • +2

Works fine with DNS for me. Not a single issue

    • +3

      Working with Nord US

    • +1

Also working with express vpn for me!

    • Works with DNS4me 4 me

    • That's funny, I've got HBO running fine.
      Sideloaded app to google tv.
Pretty easy turning the VPN on in the app (Nord) then firing up the streaming app.. button for each with remote.

Prob don't need paramount too but sounds cheap enough.

  • +1

Do i need to maintain VPN to watch

    • Yeah same question here

      • +1

Need it to watch as well

        • But we get paramount+ in Australia? How does that work?

        • +1

Already having enough issue's since I took the trial and didn't do it via Amazon direct…

          Thanks though for the info

  • Thanks - seems to work for me.

  • +1

Paramount says : Could not create your account, please try again later

    • +3

Open US paramount website with VPN, choose a plan, create account, close window before paying. Use those credentials to login

      • +1

Tried that too, gives me the same error: Could not create your account, please try again later

      • Thanks, it works!

    • Try a different email… First email didn't work, GMAIL worked fine…

  • +9

I can't be bothered using vpn every time I have to watch paramount and the only thing that I would use it for is Halo

    • I can't be bothered using vpn every time

      Look into DNS

      • +1

Any guides or keywords you could recommend?

I know it might sound like a stupid question, but I’m overwhelmed by the options. I’m happy to research, I just don’t know what I’m seedling for or if there are any recommended providers I could start with and then work backwards.

      • +12

Easier to just download the show.

Who cbf going through all the VPN BS.

Either way scamming the system lol

        • +3

Works out easier for me with DNS, just have to open the app and play any show or movie like on any other app from AU. That’s it

          • -2

@Pricebeat: I don't watch tv on my Laptop or through my laptop
            Just sounds annoying

        • Same

    • What does the AU catalog have compared to the US one? Any link?

  • +2

Does Paramount + US have "Comedy Central Stand Up"?

    • Yes. 3 Seasons for new up and comers. 18 seasons for a similar titled show for established comedians.

  • +2

Recommend linking with dns4me. Local DNS provider.

Still rocking the 12 month deal last year for $9. Will look into this once that expires.

    • Agreed!

Where did you find the 12 month deal for $9 though?!!

      • I got 18 months for 79c
By the time I posted it, it expired

        • Wow never seen it for less than 10% off per year.

  • +2

Just an FYI to users, you’ll want to download the US app version of paramount plus in order to get it to work on iOS. Once I did that, voila it works.

    • +4

Same with Android - you'll want the one with "peak streaming" in the title either through US Play store, or sideloading.

      • +3

Thanks got it working on Android TV by sideloading the "peak streaming" App. Windscribe VPN works fine too.

        • No worries, took me a while to figure out they're different apps!

  • +7

This is probably the fair value of Paramount+

    • -1

      Not even this much

  • Anyone know which region setting to tweak when using Getflix for this?

  • +1

Works fine on Roku app with Getflix DNS

    • That getflix is a cluster, never worked when I tried it once on a trial.

      • +1

been using it for..seems like 10 years or more..no issues for me

        • That's good. Tried it on PC and Android, only showed the Sydney IP addresses, nothing overseas. The trial was useless so maybe watered down version.

We apologize for the inconvenience. Netflix implemented a change affecting all VPN companies as well as our Smart DNS network. Currently Netflix is providing access to global content for people accessing it from these networks. Our network team is already working on a solution.

We will keep you updated once we have further information on this case.

Also, we don't support any other Netflix regions aside from US.

          • @G-rig: It's a DNS product, so not sure why you would expect to see your IP address change on the web. It does have a VPN option but it wasn't that good compared to other VPN providers.

            • @Eraze: So ok the vpn component wasn't working- should have showed a different country not Sydney if you catch my drift

Anyway already got Nord and still got a year our of 3bleft

Pretty sure Paramount Plus is included with Amazon Prime Video as well.

    • +4

You have to pay extra to add paramount content

      • -7

Watching Halo as we speak and haven’t spent anything extra, it’s all included in my Prime subscription which is worth it alone.

        • +9

I'd double check whether you accidentally clicked to start a Paramount+ trial via Amazon Prime Video Channels.

Halo is definitely NOT part of Amazon Prime Video in Australia.

          • +4

@vaporjet: Agreed… Must be on the 7 day free trial. Careful folks

        • +2

Lol cancel immediately or you’ll get charged. Maybe a family member accidentally subscribed on your account, happened to me. And then go into your account settings and put a passcode on for purchases so you and the people you share with don’t accidentally subscribe to things.

Just sharing my usual setup for this and HBO which for me is a set and forget. I have android TV with my other streaming services installed too. My VPN is set up to connect on start up but using split tunnelling to only affect certain apps including HBO Max and paramount plus apps which I sideloaded.

    • Which vpn are you using?

      • I'm using Express VPN, but I believe others are using Nord and Windscribe.

      • PIA has a setting on Android to work on a per app basis.

    • Can you set it up? That's pretty cool
      How so?

      • As long as you know how to sideload apps that bit is easy (eg. Get apks from apk mirror).

As for the vpn, most common vpns can do split tunnelling (they may call them different things). I use express vpn, and I know PIA and Nord offer that feature too. Then there should be a option in the settings to start and connect the vpn on boot.

        In short steps:
        1. Sideload apps
        2. Get vpn app
        3. Look in the VPN settings for use on specific apps (or don't use on certain apps), choose to use on HBO and Paramount.
        4. Turn on option to start app and connect on boot of Android TV.
        5. Enjoy!

  • After getting it to work can you cancel the SportsLine subscription or do you forfeit the 9 months?

    • +2

You forfeit the additional 6 months but will have the initial 3 months. I've set a calendar reminder to cancel just before the 9 months is up.

  • Great deal, but a lot of work to log into a VPN or DNS every time you want to watch Dexter get nasty again…

  • +1

Damn, i just remember i had paramount subscription. Used this deal last time. Thanks for remembering

  • +1

What is on Paramount that I'd want to watch?

    • For me there's the quiet place movies, star trek, south Park, and a couple classics for example top gun. Definitely not as extensive as say Netflix or Disney, but at this price I'd say it's worth it.

    • Not much, I got the free month trial to watch Dexter couldn't see much else

    • Legit is the worst streaming platform.

Not even worth the hassle and cost of this deal

  • strange, when I click sign up after entering cc on sportsline, it just does nothing :/

In dev tools, the payment processor request returns invalid fields but everything is filled out???

Almost like they did literally no bug testing 😂

    • nvm, switched to mullvad from windscribe and works now

      • pro tip: if you have btc, use paywithmoon to create a virtual card. can register & delete the card. No need to remember anything 😂

  • +1

    Good deal.

I’m already set though with a gigabit connection and keeping my nose clean under the Radarr… or is it Sonarr? :D

  • Couldn't find Coupon

  • Can you use this to watch Australian A-league ?

    • At a quick glance, it looks like I can watch American and European leagues / sports. Also noting I don't know much about the different leagues.
