  • I bought the RMX850 for $182. Most expensive psu I've ever bought but now I have it I realised how good they are. Certainly recommend them.

    • Only 2x pigtailed PCIE cables for 850w PSU wtf. it should come with at least 4 cables.

Will probably need this for the upcoming 40xx cards (power hungry af)

    • You should hold on for a PSU that complies with the new ATX 3.0 spec (if they come out this year). They'll be more pricey, but they are designed to better handle the sudden power surges that GPUs ask for. You'll also get native support for the new 12V adapter, and better efficiency at the low end.

I have an RM650X, would I be able to use the existing cabling if I were to upgrade? Would be a massive pain in the ass to recable everything…

Not sure about this specific model, but Corsair use a few suppliers (they don't make their PSU), and the cables are not interchangeable btw suppliers I think

      • Dang probably not worth it - will wait till I do a full PC upgrade, thanks for letting me know.

    • I know the 2018 RM850X and RM550X cables are interchangeable. Those cables can also be used on HX supplies.

    • Be very careful to check. It's probably ok but using incompatible cables goes bang. Ask their support. This deal is probably going to come back as psu's are getting flushed for new tech

  • I'm not getting that price coming up for some reason?

  • dam missed it.

  • Grabbed one last night just in time. Got a case and a PSU. Now to wait for the other deals.
