Great deal, the best PS4 exclusive that I've played.

  • +3

Great price. Price matching HN in case anyone wondering.

  • How much is PS5 upgrade? Seems a bit pointless buying PS4 games when I have a PS5 i spose.

    • +6

$45, probably better off just getting the PS5 version on sale

The PS4 version runs at 60 fps on PS5 at least

    • +3

I played the PS4 version on my PS5 without any upgrades and it played fine/good. I don't know if you have to pay for the upgrade, but I didn't see the need.

      • +1

Playing this right now on ps5. It's buttery smooth and looks amazing.

      • +3

I believe the ps4 version has the 60 fps patch for ps5 which is free.

    • +5

The upgrades are quite minor as the PS4 version did get an update for the PS5 (prior to the native PS5 release) to add 60 fps support to the game, for the most part it just has a slightly better resolution, but they both run at 60 and look quite similar. Though it's worth keeping in mind that you'd get the DLC with the PS5 version, so you may be better off paying a bit more and just buying that version instead.

      • the DLC with the PS5 version

If you talking about Iki Island, I think it's only included if you get the directors cut (ps4 or ps5)

Unsure if it's worth the extra $30.

        • I believe all copies for the PS5 is the director's cut. I'm not sure if the DLC is a voucher or on-disc though, maybe someone else can confirm? As for whether it's worth it, I guess it depends on your perspective.

  • Been waiting for the price to get below $30. Awesome value!

  • +3

Waiting for the ps5 version to have a decent drop

    • -7

ps5 was $29 on prime last week

      • +3

        You didn't post it?

      • +5

According to the camel, that never happened.

      • +4

According to 3 camels the lowest price direct from Amazon was $76 in November 2021.

In short, I don't believe you

  • +2

If you haven't already got it, BUY IT and support the Devs as we need a squel/prequel.
    My game of 2021

    • I think a sequel is a sure thing at this stage. They're making a movie out of it.

  • +3

Been playing this on my PS4 Pro with an SSD, Played around 20+ Hours now and currently at act 3 (final act), looking forward to the ending

    • Does the SSD add anything to the experience? I just have the regular pro

      • Went with a Samsung 870 1TB

I find loading times on most games to be reduced, jumping to the xmenu from games to be snappy

My thoughts were my time is limited if I can save 20 seconds every time I load up a game, over a couple of years that's going to add up

With ssd's being "cheap" I think its a worth while upgrade , when I use a base model PS4 with a 7200rpm drive they just feel laggy and slow

        • Thanks. I might give this a try.

  • +3

Great game but if you haven't played it already, may as well wait a little longer for the "Director's Cut" to drop in price, get all the extra missions etc

  • Out of stock everywhere, except Amazon. Free next day delivery to Syd if you sign for the 30 day trial of Prime. Otherwise $6.

  • +5

Better wait and get Director's Cut worth every bit for it

    • +2

100% agree. I dont usually buy extended editions of most games as they often just have an extra level or some cosmetic changes. Iki island was a great addition and added quite a lot extra to the game.

  • Is the PS5 version and DLC really worth the extra $40-50? Is there much content and is the performance much better?

Edit: From what I have found online, it seems like the PS5 version is better but you would want to wait for that to go on a similar sale. I will wait!

  • thanks op! ordered!

  • I heard the multiplayer is better than the game itself. You can get the multiplayer free with ps plus.

  • -1

Is there a free upgrade to ps5 for base game?

    • +1

It's patched to play the ps4 version at 60fps as others have said, but you have to pay for the actual ps5 version and it's expensive

  • I've been looking forward to playing this!

  • +1

Still waiting for the PS5 upgrade to be discounted more than 17% total (incl. DLC). It's okay, I have time, and lots of other games in my backlog.
