Hi Rep, I did a search on Aliexpress for iphone 13 pro max case transparent and there are heaps for less than this.

Why should we pay more for yours?

    • Prime shipping? Perhaps free returns too?
Most stuff may be cheaper on Ali Express, in that case your question belongs to every deal posted here!

        Prime shipping?

        IF you have prime.

        Perhaps free returns too?

Never had to return anything to Aliexpress. Even if it is defective, it's usually a photo as proof and then a refund. (and it's a phone case FFS)

Most stuff may be cheaper on Ali Express

Generally, as most of the Spamazon posts are just bulk dropshitters ordering from Aliexpress/Alibaba/Taobao/Banggood/etc, adding their mark ups on it and reselling on Amazon.

in that case your question belongs to every deal posted here!

Correct. We should be questioning these posts when a majority of them appear to be nothing more than spam and advertising and not actual, legitimate deals. I don't come here for spam, I come here for bargains. The idea of a bargains website is the find the "best possible price" not because "BuT iT'z GoT AmAzOn pRiMe sHiPPiNg!!!1!1!" or "bEiNg iN sToCk MaKeZ iT a DeaL."

For example, OP says "Original Price: $10.95", when Camelx3 clearly shows that the only price this case has been sold at is $9.95. It is against the law to make a sale/deal sound better by inflating an "original price" to make the "new price" sound more attractive or to inflate a price prior to giving a discount.

Very well worded response, and love how you are taking this head-on! Kudos to you. With the amount of time you have been on OzB, you may have the right interests of all in mind. Just that the question today seemed a bit too direct considering it is not the same factors when comparing Ali Express vs Amazon AU.

Whether a deal or not, kind of shows up by number of clicks, or votes anyway. Of course, these posts are a way for sellers to get some eyeballs and visits, and buyers are able to talk about their experience.
Like any financial advice, these posts require user awareness and discretion.

As a buyer, I prefer the speed and convenience of buying from Amazon or even eBay, as opposed to Ali Express, and I am aware that it does cost me a few dollars more.

Thanks, now I need an iPhone 13!

  • All of these clear cases will have a yellow tinge after about a year. They don't seem to be UV rated at this price point.

    • A year? Try a few months. I have an iPad case that NEVER goes out in the sun and it is already an off shade of piss yellow just from general day to day indoors handling. No amount of cleaning seems to get that stain out of them.

Doesn't need to be in direct sunlight.
If you have a better working theory behind this discolouration phenomena, I am open to ears.

A year? Try a few months

My current SPIGEN case has lasted almost a year. Now, I am starting to notice a small yellow tinge at the bottom.

        • I ONLY trust Spigen cases , but unfortunately they go yellow and brittle within a year tops. I went through 3 with my iPhone 7 Plus and 2 with my 12 pro now . It’s hardly ever really within sunlight. If it’s not in my pocket it’s on my desk inside a dungeon like office.

          • @Jimothy Wongingtons:

Same here. But I am not going to buy anymore of their clear cases either if they start to show the yellow tinges after about a year.

Do you know of any other brands without this issue?

            • @DoctorCalculon: Nah, in spigens defence I’ve dropped my phone from at least waist height tens of times into concrete and tile and it’s (touch wood) still good. So I will begrudgingly pay the $15 or so shipped when required haha
