What's everyone's opinion re: FHD on a 32" display? I was under the impression that the sweet spot was around 24"-27" max, otherwise QHD was the way to go for larger screens? Appreciate any insights from the OzB community.

Yeah 32 inch is way too big for 1080p IMO unless you're using it as a small TV.

    • I wouldn't go above 27"

    • As a monitor not good, might be useful as a second monitor that you use mostly for media consumption though.

    • You will notice the pixels even in first viewing.

You will get used to it eventually. Screens like the Philip bdm32 were going for 200 each at one point, I bought another one after I realised I was ok with it. It was a pretty decent 4 years.

    1440p @ 32in is perfect. 1080p is vomit inducing.

Even 1440p at 32inch is grainy for office work. The PPI would be the same as 1080p at 24inch.

      1440p is good at 27inch.

If its Grainy, you're sitting too close.

          Or you have good eyesight.

      • I have a 1440p 34" Ultrawide and it's fine for office duties which is what I mainly use it for.

Anything less than that would be a bit hard to look at.

1440p @ 32 inch is too blurry for work that read lots of text, 27inch is perfect.

      • and what 24in @ 1080p is fine? or is that also too blurry? cos the PPI on that is actually slightly worse than 1440p @ 32in.

Exactly 1080p at 24inch is pretty rubbish resolution these days. It is the base level you would want if you can’t afford better,

This is why people are moving to 4K.
