Conveniently recharge your compatible devices while on the go without having to worry about keeping cables plugged-in, thanks to the Cygnett Mag5000 5000mAh Magnetic Wireless Power Bank.

Basically the same as the Apple one that was on sale here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/694450

Though has higher battery capacity, the Apple one is only 2000mAh vs this one’s 5000mAh.

Similar Camsol power bank available from OW in $39.88 but with 10W output compared to 15W by this Cygnet. Posting for those looking for a cheaper option

    https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/comsol-500…

    • The specs for the Cygnet one (on the Cygnet site) says 7.5W wireless charging and 12W via the USB-C output (and it's 18W USB-C input)
The Comsol web site doesn't appear to fully detail the specs but does appear to indicate 5W wireless charging and 10W USB-C and Micro-USB input (no mention of output however)

      • True, neither are prefect. But the Cygnet one appears better than the Apple one that is normally $139 or $109 on sale.

I mainly wanted one that was MagSafe so I could keep using the phone (granted with some bulk). And I have found that Cygnett has some good gear.

  • In the intro video, it shows the MagSafe charging ring when it's connected, is this true? Isn't this limited to Apple ones only?

    • No. Any MagSafe connection can trigger that animation.

i had purchased this from Big W, it is very slow to charge, and gets very hot sometime. Also you have to keep watching all the time for the right alignment. Even a slight movement the charging gets disconnected. Sometime even after leaving it for charging over 1 hour, you will find it charged only 10% because the alignment issue

    • What phone are you charging? If you have a iPhone 12 or 13 it should magnetically lock in place to avoid misalignment, according to the promo video

It is iPhone 12, but most of us will have a shockproof case as well, which could affect the magnetic strength

…..and with case perhaps makes the charging slower?

          • @Borg: Wireless charging with the phone on is dog slow on apple stuff anyway. Its not that great on android stuff with 15w either though. Don't expect miracles from 7.5watt

            • @Robc: Slow is good for me…..more a case of sticking it on when not in use. Not looking for fast charging which I have disabled regardless when plugged in.
