      How can they sell at this price without the dock, the whole appeal of this model is the new dustbin /water tankcombo dock… I remeber with S7 it probably took them 6 months to release that dock, I would say just wait for when the dock has arrived.

          Nah, S6 Max V was the first one that had it, everything else is pretty much the same with previous gen models and maybe a slightly tweek from what I can see. So the only new thing is the combo dock

            @lbsyc: Ah your right didn't know that. One benefit is 5,100Pa compared to the S6 MaxV and S7’s 2,500Pa.

            Also better mopping capability.

        yes this is definitely an international site selling international products.

      All the new robot cleaners, from all companies, are increasing in price. There has been large technological leaps over the last two generations of robot cleaners, though. But I agree, the pricing is becoming a hard sell. I feel like $1500 should be the version with the dock. $1200 without a dock.
      I do love my S7 and will upgrade to the MaxV Ultra if I can sell my S7 for a decent price.

        The whole system only costs 5699 CNY in China, that's roughly 1200 AUD, I agree having $300 "AUS TAX" should be more than enough for the entire set.

        Rorock is way too greedy this time.

          Is it Deebot t9+? I bought it at good guys for $1016 and 5 years warranty $169 extra. Its worth with local in store warranty.

            @Broos: Depends on the reviewer, both have their strengths and some reviewer rate the Deebot T9+ over Roborock and Roomba. I had a Roborock and had nothing but issues, support was hopeless. Got a Deebot and it was substantially better for my needs.

    I have the xiaomi s5 I've been waiting (and waiting!) to upgrade with the S7 Max Ultra. Is it worth getting the S7 Max now, and purchase dock separately when available, or keep waiting until there is a complete package?

    Roborock Auto-Empty Dock purchased separately.

    Roborock are just pulling prices out of their @$$ now. So many cheaper alternatives these days that are just as good, if not better.

      I think Roborock saw Ecovacs charging $3k for something similar and thought they can also get away with that ridiculous pricing.

        Run a search on the Viomi S9 in the OZB search. I picked up one and find it as good (cleaning wise) as the S6MaxV.

    My S6 is great but yeah having small kids obstacle avoidance for toys would be awesome but that price is a killer.

    I have the S6 Max V, the previous flagship. If I were to do it again, I would go with a cheaper model - most likely the s5 max (Can be had for $500-700).

    AI Obstacle avoidance is quite poor compared to "dumb" vacuums. It hardly avoids common household items like thick wires (heater), toys (small - medium), humans/ animals, anything remotely transparent, furniture legs (office/ dining).

    Never had a problem with my S5 and toys. Do not get the appeal in obstacle avoidance at all, especially if it costs an extra $700. I’d rather have an extra vacuum for that. Crazy pricing.

    What an outrageous price. $500 more than the outgoing S6 MaxV for very little improvement. Only tangible improvement I can see is it’s compatible with the self empty dock (which isn’t included). I would not trust the self lifting mop over my white carpets. It gets stuck on nearly every run (AI is non existent). Their customer support for warranty issues is absolutely terrible. Based on my experience with my S6 MaxV I won’t be giving Roborock any more of my hard earned money. A huge amount of money for a robot vacuum, if you must have it, wait for a sale.
