During Afterpay deal? Can't think anytime it's that cheap recently

      • Yes during afterpay sale. But another eBay sale is hopefully just around the corner. Not a bad price if you need to buy. Would prefer 3060 ti for about 660 if it comes again though, again afterpay deal.

        • Yeah I'm waiting for 40xx series and AMD Zen 4 release to do a full upgrade anyways, neither my 1660 nor 3060/3060ti can handle my upcoming 32' 4k 144Hz monitor.

          • +2

            @Masticccc: My 960 runs a 32" 4k 60Hz.

You don't need to do anything else except refresh OzBargain deals all day do you?

            • +1

@clintdb: Truly the best use case for a 3000 series

    • so will be hard to see this go below $500 …

Mmm does this feel like cards have stalled a bit in pricing?

    • +3

Yar, I feel thay have but they did seem to drop about 40% in about a week and a half

Runs ETH mining at 39mhs and 124w. Renewed demand for crypto GPUs.

      • +1

Mining helps cut the TCO of the GPU.

Gamers seem to prefer to pay the price without the discount.

  • Good price! Just got 6700XT recently otherwise will get this one.

    This is way too cheap.

Buy before the price goes back up.

  • The fan stopped working in less than six months for the 3060Ti version. The worst thermal I've ever seen nonetheless. Cheap card. Same as Ventus 2X, I'll stay away forever.

    • Wow I own both but 2x VENTUS TI and AORUS TI , double trouble lolz

      • +2

Luckily I bought a few of the colorful ones in the previous deal. Much much much better card than this piece of trash.

        • +1

But I thought for all Asus in general, their quality is pretty good, compare to Giga?

        • -4

So you don't think Asus is as colorful as your,. umm what was yours again? Just kidding yes I've heard of your umm lolz

  • Nice 👍

These numbers are from the latest Hardware Unboxed 12 game average benchmarks for 2022 (https://youtu.be/kXGnLjwbOBY?t=862). It doesn't take into consideration Ray Tracing, DLSS, etc. As it's 1080p performance it cannot be compared to my other 3k table I post in higher tier cards when comparing $ per frame.

    Avg FPS (1080p) % of 3060 —Recent Bargain— $ per frame (1080p)
    Nvidia RTX 3060 141 100% $569 $4.04
    Radeon RX 6600 141 100% $449 $3.18
    Nvidia RTX 3050 108 77% $416 $3.85
    Nvidia GTX 1660 Super 103 73% $389 $3.78
    Nvidia GTX 1650 Super (4GB) 83 59% $199 $2.40
    Radeon RX 6500 XT (PCIe 4.0) 79 56% $319 $4.04
    Radeon RX 6500 XT (PCIe 3.0) 62 44% $319 $5.15
    • yep, I rather go with RX6600XT for this same money but better performance.
Donot know why people still prefer Nvidia in the mid level card.

      • I've previously been happy with either, but in recent years there's been a lot of AI techdemos I'm interested in which only work on nvidia cards. I think that might have changed, but nvidia themselves are making some of the cool stuff. Then there's also been stuff like Blender releasing a new major version which had a renderer which only worked on nvidia cards.

DLSS is actually unreal and works amazingly well. AMD's version isn't near as good, there's also RTX.

        • I do not own any RTX card and wonder if you think the DLSS and RTX worth the price difference it at this mid entry point ?

          • +1

@ComputerPC: I wouldn't bother with RTX at this price point -unless- the game has DLSS as well, DLSS is seriously a game changer you can literally double your frames at higher fidelity options, it's seriously good.

For your questions though, RTX no, DLSS yes, it's even better for lower end cards as they get more frames they wouldn't be able to have.

        In addition to the above…
I don't know if it's changed recently, but nvidia seemed to have better video encoding (nvenc) and far more reliable windows drivers than the competition, the last time I looked.

They have a rtx 3060 triple fan for 589
