Hasn't been 1/2 price in a few months.

This is at cheap as you get for Weet-Bix specials. $0.33/100g.

The first $1.90 half price deal was in 2019, so nice to see no price rise over the past few years (yet).

Ingredients
Wholegrain Wheat (97%), Raw Sugar, Salt, Barley Malt Extract, Vitamins (Niacin, Thiamin, Riboflavin, Folate), Mineral (Iron).

I've been eating Aldi wheat biscuits for a while, and had Weet Bix somewhere else a while ago and was surprised by how sweet they were by comparison. Can't believe I used to need to add sugar to them to eat them as a child.

I add banana and honey to my Weet Bix…yum yum

      • Agree, honey and banana is perfect with WeetBix

        I add sultana.

Yes, as a child adding a thick layer of sugar to each Weet bix was the way to do it. Now, just the thought of that makes my teeth hurt.

      • It was brown sugar in my household, for some reason

    • Just demonstrates the power of brands — even at half price they’re still a rip-off (compared to the Aldi product). Main difference is that Weet-Bix contains iron… a nice thing to add for us womens

Added sugar to your Weetbix as a child? I used to add Weetbix to my bowl of sugar as a child 😁

Wheat going crazy ( nearly doubled on the market ) because of the Ukraine situation so it won't be long before this goes up .

Probably won't happen now that Putin is backed into the SE corner of Ukraine.

I'm still rooting for the Ukrainians giving them a good spanking. I like the one where one of the crew was standing and filming with a mobile phone while the Moskva cruiser is sinking and got told off by their superiors. Russian armed forces are so unprofessional.

Putin is really backing Russia into a corner if Sweden and Finland joins NATO.

    • The wheat price might be going crazy, but all the wheat I’ve spoken to lately is keeping it in perspective. So it’s safe to leave a bowl of Weet-Bix unattended if one should get so distracted

  • Laat time they were this price at WW was in last week of Jan this year and seem to be every few months, just might not have been posted.

    • Thanks, I found it now in a mega post on 24/1. I'll correct the description now.

Inflation doesn't affect Weet-Bix because higher ingredient costs will never overtake the zero tax that Sanitarium pays

    • I was outraged, so i just called them up. Apparently all the profits are distributed to Ukrainian farmers, so I bought all the local stock to donate to the homeless shelters. Feels good to be indirectly avoiding tax

Every dollar spent on Sanitarium Weet-Bix is a tax exempt dollar for the Seventh Day Adventist church.

    • So I should keep my receipt?

  • Ran out this morning so this is fantastic timing for me!

    • Calm down… you don’t need to run

The Metro Melbourne train is allowed to leave up to 59s earlier than schedule.

        • Is this written/documented somewhere?

          • +1

@HardQuiz: Could have changed since, I just remember this from when I worked for PTV 10 years ago.

Up to 5:59 late didn't count as late for city, 11:59 for VLine. Drivers where allowed to leave within less than a minute of the scheduled time.

            • +1

@Jimbuscus: 1m59s late for Metro now I believe.

V/Line is 5m59s for interurban and 10m59s for intercity

          Fun fact:

Metro Melbourne drivers aren't supplied with a list of departure times for each stop.

They basically have to drive consistently and hope for the best. Some trains can display it on the screen in the cab but it doesn't always work.

Sometimes they can see the platform departure display as they're pulling in to a platform, but safety and stopping at the right spot takes priority.
