  • Haha look at the reviews.

Clearly a case of "ignorance IS Not bliss" with most not realizing that the base is required to operate. Presumably not OzBargain devotees or they would have known this.

Idiots not reading the description of the product they're buying, colour me surprised lol.

Do you need to pay subscription with this one? We have the old Arlo without subscription

    Edit: doesn't include chime

Edit: I assumed it had a built in camera. It doesn't. Also doesn't have rechargable battery. It's a no for me.

It uses AA batteries and they last like 12 months. Stick a set of eneloops in this and you're golden. I haven't changed mine in the 8 months I've had it. It's fantastic, has a light up ring that shows people to press it, and a motion detector that can be used to start recording video on cameras that haven't detected movement themselves.

Ones that have a built in camera cost hundreds. This is to be used in conjunction with arlo cameras and chimes. You can also answer the doorbell via your phone and talk to whoever pressed it through the speaker on this.

      • 12 months? Mine lasts 6 weeks at most. These are Energizer lithium batteries too. My doorbell rarely gets pressed and about 10m away from base station with 1 wall in the way.

I have chimes, they are hit and miss on whether they go off or not.

        These doorbells dont need subscription.

        • Mine are in 18 months at 60% battery left.

        • Something seriously wrong with yours. 8 months and counting from a single charge for me, and the chime never fails to go off.

    • I have it trigger a camera near the door. Works out better imho.

  • I don't think it works with all Arlo cameras only the wireless ones on the hub ?!?

    • Correct

  • Thanks OP. Bought one for Father in Law to complete his security system.
