Saw this in the Herald Sun yesterday. 2000 Bonus Flybuys points when buying a $100 or $250 Coles Mastercard Giftcard (available until the 26th April).
2000 Flybuys = $10.
% discount works out better for the $100 (5%) than $250 (1.2%) when taking into account activation fee ($5 and $7 respectively).

BONUS POINTS can be awarded more than once for each Gift Card type including different denominations of the same Gift Card but can only be collected up to 5 times per Flybuys account.

This promotion is nationwide

      Update2: I called flybuys, they say they don't know why only half of the bonus points is applied.
      They will now investigate and fix it, and it will take 7-10 business days.

    Update. Yesterday l attempt to purchase CM $100 + fee $5 = $105 Today l just check Flybuys app l got only bonus 1000 Flybuys point and 105 standards Flybuys point. Is this a misleading advertising??? Who can l contact to??? Coles or Flybuys???

        I live in NSW. I just rang Flybuys up. The waiting line around 20 mins. Flybuys said their system has some glitch. They know they have this offer they can check on their system and they can check what the Flybuys holder purchased. If you missing bonus from purchase gift card at Coles just ring them up. They will add the missing points bonus for you. I already received another 1000 bonus missing points but it didn’t show on the transaction. So what l did l transfer that 2000 points to $10 Flybuys dollars straight away. Nobody know what gonna happened next at least l put that 2000 points in safe first. Just sharing!!!

    Yeah I got 5000 points for 5 x $100 card.
    But very confident it’s just a mix up with how they have set up the promo, and the additional points will be credited. Probably not til Wednesday given its the weekend and public holiday.
    It’s clearly an error they will fix

      It looks like the scheduled promo is 1k bonus pts per card as there is bonus 2k pts promo for other cards this week, but somehow the published ad from the 3rd party said differently.

      Same…they will apply a fix, but be prepared to wait several days for the extra 1000pts.
      No advertising in-store on this either, so won’t affect heaps of punters.

              @MiscOzB: I brought 2 $100 GC on Friday, I got my reminding points on Wednesday.
              Before I received the missing points, I called them on Tuesday (waited for 30 mins), spoke to a flybuys rep located in NZ, she does not know the promotion at all.
              After the called, I sent an email to flybuys team.
              The missing points came through on Wednesday. I do not think it is to do with my email. I think it was automatically adjusted.
              I don't like to deal with flybuys team. They are not helpful at all.
              That is why once I found out I only have half of the points, I do not want to buy more GC.
              It is such a hassle to contact flybuys.

                @Purple: Yeah I know what it's like; have emailed and called them for missing points on previous occasions. Hold times can be ridiculously long, which then leads to them hanging up. But I'll only call them now. I emailed them to enquire about missing points on two separate occasions - first time they never replied, second time they wouldn't credit the bonus points from a promo even though I provided evidence showing that I should receive the points (called them after to get the points which they then credited).

                  @MiscOzB: Just an update: They replied to my email yesterday, saying that it could take 4 weeks for bonus points to be applied so asked me to contact them again after that period passed. What a BS. So, I called (took like 15 mins hold), then they agreed right away. Got my missing points today.

                    @hanofee: Yeah I called on Tuesday (very short hold luckily) and was told I should receive the points within 7 days. Checked the account again just now and the extra 5k points are there.

          Yes, just check one account that got 2 cards purchased yesterday, only 3 lots of 1k pts. Another account got 1 card purchased with 2 lots of 1k pts.
