        Not necessarily. This trick might be useful for people who are on the same boat with me ie. purchased $134/$135 Special gift card and was unable to make purchase on Shopback for whatever reason.

        You can use the Special GC to purchase this deal from Prezzee without having to buy the $150 card from Special. The trick is to combine it with PayPal credit.
        1. Create a Prezzee account if you haven't got one (Prezzee only allows you to pay with Paypal if you have a Prezzee account)
        2. Link your Special GC on Paypal
        3. Make sure your Paypal balance is $15/$16. In my case I never had any Paypal balance before so the fastest way to do it is by asking someone to send me $$ (instant transfer)
        4. Purchase this GC on Prezzee and select PayPal as payment method
        5. PayPal will allow you to use your Paypal balance first and then select the Special GC to pay the remaining amount

          Otherwise, transfer within PayPal from a bank is showing 3-5 business days.

            @froogletom: I don't think it matters which Special card you choose. Afaik, all Special giftcard is essentially prepaid Mastercard, which can be added to Paypal without issue

                  @foxes28: I think the Special Super Shopper GC is the best one to go with if you’re wanting to purchase from gift card portals, because “retail” is quite vague, and it doesn’t overly surprise me a lot of gift card portals (and probably PayPal too) are captured under the Super Shopper GC.

                  If you end up with another Special GC (e.g. Chill Seeker, which is billed as a spa and massage GC), I wouldn’t expect it to work with Prezzee or PayPal.

                    @WookieMonster: Agreed. Special Super Shopper GC seems to have the widest coverage.

                    Not so sure about using the Special GC directly as payment method for Prezzee without Paypal though. I had a Visa prepaid card once and it didn't work when I entered it directly on Prezzee. This Visa prepaid card was a cashback from an insurance company so I wouldn't expect it to be restricted for specific retailers only.

                      @foxes28: Prezzee generally doesn't allow you to purchase a gift card on their portal by directly inputting the details of a card with no 3D Secure support (e.g. all prepaid gift cards).

                      The only exception is Coles Gift Mastercards; you can ask Prezzee staff to whitelist your Prezzee account so that you can use Coles Gift Mastercards directly on Prezzee.

    Is it just me? Prezzee keeps blocking my payments no matter what payment method I use. Each method would work the first 2 times then just get blocked (permanently, not temporarily). It's not like I'm buying dozens of gift cards, I've only ever bought a handful from them. So frustrating.

        I first was one of those who got taken away money and didn’t get anything. Got it back after hours. Then did it again and bought a shopback card. Then after seeing the challenge from shopback I used an old sim to do it again on a different phone. I think now I’m done with it. Just a bit over 5% is not worth all the hassle. If I wouldn’t have do many gift cards already and would have missed out on previous deals I probably would go for it.

      • NSW Seniors Card holders can purchase WISH eGift Cards at a 5% discount through a dedicated Woolworths Group gift card portal.

      • I think APOD (Australian Partners of Defence) members also get a 5% discount, but I cannot verify this.
