Was already looking at this when costco sent the email. Looks like a good price but a hard sell if your partner doesn't also want a new toothbrush!

    • Keep it as a spare for yourself when it breaks?

    • yep and with only 1 charger base, it is also hard to offload the other handle to another family member in a different household.

  • Anyone find a good price for a replacement handle?

    • I went looking when mine developed a fault. Phillips doesn't supply one but offered me a new set at a 50% discount. I ended up repairing the handle myself.

    • ive been buying my replacement handles off aliexpress and ebay. theyre exactly the same. these handles (including the original ones) last about 2 and half years for me. still using my glass charger and travel charger as per normal

  • Would be worth investigating if it can get this $80 cash back too .

I found this on the terms and conditions:

"Please note that Big W, Target, Costco,
JB Hi-Fi Airport Stores and purchases through dental practices
are not participating retail stores for this Promotion."

      • Cool, my bad.

    • Id call few shaver shop stores & see if they’ll match the price, though the Costco model is a little different it’s worth a shot

      • Yeah, I was thinking the same thing, look for a price match then nab the cash back too. Someone may get lucky.

  • Is this basically best one on the market in April 2022?

    LOL

  • Anyone know the best place to buy replacement heads for these? I am specifically looking for soft bristles, all I can seem to find is medium.

  • Have these gotten more reliable? I used to have one but the center of the brush broke and made it unusable which I saw was not uncommon on here.

    • If it's the same issue that affected my brush there are fix videos on YouTube. I repaired mine but it's very disappointing considering the price.

No they are still unreliable. However if it's under warranty their warranty service is fantastic. I won't be buying another until they design it better with waterproofing so mould doesn't get under the buttons. Centre of brush breaking, chargers dying, handle not charging are all problems I have experienced over approx 6 years. In saying that warranty service is always helpful which is why I've bought two more since experiencing problems. But I swear this is the last time hahah.

    • No they are famous for breaking around the 2 year mark. The warranty service is very good, they'll give you a refurbished to replace it. The price is almost reflective of the fact they will be giving you 2 of them lol.

  • are these toothburshes better than Oral B rotary ones ?

    • +1

I believe so yes. Moved from oral b to Philips fee years ago. Best decision, felt more clean.

if you purchased, make sure you register your product through the Philips site, you get an extra year warranty
