  • can this robot operate dreame vacuum?

How does this compare to the Viomi S9?

    • +5

No idea about this one, but I'm a couple of days in and loving my s9. Only thing I'd like is to be able to disable the loud emptying into the base station for specific scheduled cleans. I have it do the back of the house at 3am on quite mode, which is almost brilliant until it empties.

Other than that, it's just amazing, especially for the price. (My last robot vacuum was a bump navigating dumb one 5 years ago, so I may not have the best perspective).

  • I considered this last year but there was hardly any information on it. Ended up getting a T9+ and it’s a life changer. Still not perfect though.

    • What makes it not perfect?

  • whats the ongoing costs of replacement bin bags like?
are there generic bags that fit any of these vacuum bots, self emptying bins ?

    • +3

These are the official bags and you can get generics as all brands are pretty much the same. In my Ecovacs I just empty the bag into a bin every so often and get so much more life out of it.

  • Looks to be similar/rebranded version of the roidmi eve plus which is a sensational little vacuum
Strongly recommend one of these, it hits the right price point and does 95% of the functions that the $1000+ roborocks have

  • I can see this has previously been below $550 but unsure if its worth the wait (chances of it going back to that range).

    Any recommendation please?

    • I have ended up ordering and also saw a promotion for some free brush valued at $30. Thanks

  • I am wondering between this or some cheaper similar items at Kogan:

    the Kogan LX12 with auto-empty for $539
    https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/kogan-smarterhometm-lx12-robot-…

or the Roidmi EVE Plus for $539
    https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/roidmi-eve-plus-robot-vacuum-wi…

    • It looks like lx12 might be the same one? Or a slightly different model from the same brand?

Maybe compare the specs etc as the lx12 is likely just a different model that kogan has slapped their brand on. The design on the auto empty looks identical. The vacuum itself looks almost identical, just some detail on the top that is different.

      • The crown on the LIDAR also looks the same.
Anyhow, I ended up ordering the Roidmi Eve Plus. (it seemed to suit my needs best, and swayed to Xiaomi over generic)

        • Actually at the last minute about to check out with the EVE, noticed the Kogan LX12 on special for $289. Seems good value

          • @repeat: Looks to be 729$ now wtf?

            • @letmethefuqin: Yeah, they seem to move their prices about quite a bit.
Anyhow I went with the Roidmi Eve Plus and have been very happy with it.

  • Great! Just paid $597.50 where it seems to be $399 on its website now. https://uoni.com/

    • Ouch

    • $399 USD or about $588 AUD. I'd argue Amazon is better for easy return warranty.

      • Yeah I was trying to check that, it doesn’t say anywhere USD. However if I VPN into a European country or USA, the price remains the same: so it would most likely be USD indeed. Mastercard FX would take 565.31 AUD where 28 degrees would charge 563.72 AUD (interbank rates). I concur about Amazon warranty, ~35aud is not worth the hassle of returning it. Well I just lost my true oz bargainer badge with that comment :(

        • BTW so far the product looks very promising. I didn’t know the brand but is appears to be top end quality.

  • Thanks OP. Bought from Amazon even though it’s $480 from aliexpress.
