Where can you get replacement tyres for these?

    • +6

Why would you need? Once they bald this becomes a racing scooter.

    • +3

      Do a google search!!

      • -3

        Didn't find any

You litter the comments section on electric scooters with "they're illegal in Victoria" and constantly get neg voted yet in this comment you want to know where to "get replacement tyres". Why do you insist on wasting everyone's time, some people may not realize your need to annoy everyone by asking stupid questions, they will actually try to help you. But they only need to go to the previous comments on Kingsong N11 Cheetah 60V 22.4Ah Dual Motor Electric Scooter $2399 to discover you have absolutely no interest in buying a replacement tyre. BTW according to your profile you're approaching 100,000 comments on OzB and you've received over 200,000 negative votes. It would appear from your profile that you spend almost every waking hour posting comments on OzB. For the past 24 hours you've posted a comment almost every hour, you can even see when you went to sleep, then you appear to wake up go straight to OzB and put up more useless comments such as this one, even though you know that you have no interest in the answer to your question.

And jv's useless comments and neg count increases!!

          • -6

@PukeyLuke: You sound jealous, otherwise you wouldn't be reading them.

      • +5

I've heard of 3 Card Monty - but JV seems to excel at 3 Hand something or other. Sometimes the comments are clever - but too often keen to make a point just to be pointless. Yes, there are issues with scooters (or anything that moves relative to other bodies) - but I'm experiencing more deleterious consequences grinding my teeth whenever JV goes seriously off-piste. So everyday then…

I'll finally have to block the misguided sod.

I asked a question, not making a point.

    • Check out Unagi Warranty . You can contact Panmi (Unagi brand distributor) for replacement spare parts.

Unagi scooter tyres are made of solid rubber and puncture proof. So don't need to worry about tyres

Shame about the terrible range on these (13km as tested by ESG).

    • Ooof thats rough

Segway F40 also on sale at the moment for $899

    • I bought Segway F40A on 24/05/2022 from JB HiFi and price matched it to $999 (from $1,199) with online website.

After 3 days, price dropped to $899. I rang JB HiFi and spoke to one of the staff members. They kept on hold for good 10-12 mins but they did ended up refunding $100 price difference. F40A is great scooter

back from the future huh :P

          hahahahahaha my bad 24/04/2022

  • does anybody know how to register these to ride in VIC?

    • +1

Paint them white and green or orange to look like the Lime/Neuron scooters.

Otherwise no there really is no way to register them.

    • +2

Unfortunately in Victoria there is no way to ride scooters legally. I have 2 scooters and use them daily and never have any issues with the police,
they see me riding it all the time. I know several other people with scooters and they have the same experience. It is a risk,
but riding safely with a helmet, lights and following the road rules significantly reduces likelihood of pissing off a policeman and copping a fine.

    • -1

You can ride them in your backyard.

      • +1

If I follow my fence line it's about 5km. Big enough to ride this privately.

  • +5

only by achieving true Unagi, you can be prepared for any danger that may befall you, good name for a scooter

    • +1

it's not something you ride, it's something you have!

  • debating on escooter vs ebike. anyone able to throw in their 2cents?

    • More likely to fool the police with ebike (with pedals). Each jurisdiction is different so your usage will vary depending on your locality.

    • ebikes are safer

    • +2

ebikes are annoying to take on trains. scumbags want to steal it all the time. have to leave it out in the weather if you can't find a sheltered bike rack, most ebikes are heavy as hell. but you can carry more, ride is more comfortable, you get some exercise, you're not necessarily restricted to just footpaths, a lot of bikes will have removable batteries so you don't have to lug the whole thing in to charge if you're short on space.

e-scooters are better if you spend a lot of time on public transport; easier to hop between trains and buses. take it into shops with you to cart your shopping basket around. more nimble, easier to carry up stairs, lift in/out of cars, doesn't take up as much space. usually can't take out batteries though, range is more limited, not as universally accepted as ebikes, ride is more uncomfortable, changing tyres is a serious PITA.

i have an ebike and working on getting an escooter as well. i agree that walking is cheaper but sometimes you need to get somewhere quicker (and you can't always drive.)

  • E350 is also $699 which is probably the better deal. I was seriously tempted but real world range being less than 20km is no good for me (commuting from moreland road to melb CBD and back is probably about 15km but want some spare in the tank for getting around town during the day too).

    • Just charge it at work :)

      • +1

A charge takes 5 hours and that would require me to buy another charger or lug it around with me…I don't often stay in my office for 5 hours at a time…these scooters should really offer more range for the $$$ that Unagi is asking.

  • Better off with this deal on the G30p gen 2 ($1,099)
