Pity you missed the May Star Wars promo (Aunt Beru set) by a day or two.

    • Still has double VIP points and the keychain, though

      • Selected sets. Half of which are retired. LEGO know SW fans want the UCS Land Speeder so that doesn't qualify.

And the keychain is a hunk of junk that if ever used would scratch like crazy. The Aunt Beru set was pretty cool imho. Still not worth it for me personally, I'd rather save 25% of $320 ($80) at retail in a few months.

  • Has cashback tracking for Lego.com worked for anyone? I only have problems with Lego, I dont have any problems with tracking for other websites.

Wow this is a great example of "Deal looks great until comments". I would have pulled the trigger except for the sheer amount of negative experience. Thanks all.

    • Yes tracked fine with cash rewards not long ago.
Unfortunately Lego bunged up my address details to the courier and it was undeliverable so got sent back for a refund. So it's still 'pending' but won't get cashback. Fwiw it was the Delorean, and since was out of stock worldwide. Support took away half of the VIP points once the refund was processed so pretty annoying.

    Never works for me.
There was a 10% cashback promo last time, which made me make a purchase. Declined for no reason.
    Not worth the risk

    • +2

same. Dont really trust Lego to go through.

    • Hi. Sounds like this was an untracked claim that was declined, rather than a tracked one correct? Feel free to PM me so I can check your ticket and give you the reason why LEGO declined the claim. Also, please note the first line of the terms:

Important: For tracking success, opt in and consent to cookie use on LEGO's website if prompted".

      Thanks,
      minita

Bit late to justify a 'declined' claim, once the transaction has been competed and the cash has gone and no chance of getting the promised 'Cashback'. It should be called 'Roulette Cashbacks'.

        • Gee, I wonder who negged that comment. Hahahaha.

      • +2

Never had luck with lego and both cashrewards/shopback. They just decline.
But you track everything else easily somehow?

        • +3

Same for me. Doesn’t track with CR or SB. I’ve tried both. Claims later will be declined

  • +4

it would be so much simpler if cash back programs are given their own 'codes' to enter into the checkout process instead of all the shi tty cookie dance people have to do to get that % back.

    • +1

How about the onus is on the cashback entities?
You provide them a completed invoice and the company part of the transaction can still decline?

  • can i order "back order" items?

  • I know it says 'will be declined for codes not listed on Cashrewards', but what about using LEGO points to redeem an item? They gave me a code to redeem it with my next purchase. Will my Cashback be declined?

  • +1

Not lego. The only way you're getting that cashback is if a cashback rep approves it. Lego. Never. Tracks.

  • The Lego store is a joke, pre-orders are worthless when you can get it cheaper and quicker through other stores. Even at 15% cashback it's not worth it. Granted if you are after hard to find sets sure but this is OzBargain not OZHardToFindSets.

  • thanks to other commenters, i just realised that my purchase on shopback back in feb also did not track. Shopback also requires missing cashback to be reported within 30 days so looks like lego/shopback has won this round.

  • max $30.. its like a drop of water in the ocean when talking about lego….

  • decided to jump in and buy… but didn't receive any tracking email from Cashback like I usually do, even after I clicked through the website this time and didn't rely solely on the Chrome extension… guess this one will end in a fight!
