Any unvaxxed successfully left Australia yet?

Please don't turn this into a debate regarding merits of covid19 vaccination!

Has anyone that didn't get the covid19 vaccination successfully left Australia yet or know of anyone that has? I see as of the 18/04, the government changed the vaccination travel requirements that unvaccinated no longer need permission or approval to leave the country. Some other countries still have this restriction in place though.

What about dual nationals? Any unvaxxed EU citizens able to shed light on travelling to EU from Australia? It would be nice to leave for the winter!

A shame some people can't help themselves and turned the thread into a debate about covid19 vaccination.

Nice antislavic racism you have going on there, gtfo.

It would be nice to leave for the winter!

Then quit being an attention seeking snowflake and get vaccinated.

I've had covid already, but thanks for your expert opinion and shitting up my thread, some people can't help themselves huh.

People with 💵 can hire private flights or boats that can take them to ports that don't require vaxpass.

🇲🇽 and 🇸🇻 welcome both clean and unclean travellers.

    • welcome both clean and unclean travellers.

Do anti-vaxxers refuse to wash with soap ?

      • -1

        Purebloods don't need to wash.

        • True, all the viruses they are harbouring won't allow bacteria to grow….

    • UK doesn't either, but Qantas requires it for their international flights atm, go figure.

      • +1

QANTAS can ask you to wear shoes onboard too! Go figure!

I'd just get the vaccine, personally. We eradicated polio through vaccine, and we can help limit the effect of covid on the world by getting the vaccines too.

    • -1

Yeah, I thought about it but I've already had covid last year so no point now.

      • +2

You do know you can get covid more than once yeah….

        • -6

          So?

          • +3

@[Deactivated]: Well you're the one making the comment "thought about it but I've already had covid last year so no point now."

            • -6

@Tony-Abbott: It was mild for me but I'm relatively young, healthy, and I've already had it once so the second time around I probably won't even know I have it.

Do you actually have something to contribute to my question or just came here to pontificate about the vaccine? Hurry back to reddit, OK?

      • +1

        so no point now

Well it would also allow you to exit the country…

        • -1

Why would you get vaccinated with the primary reason being in order to leave the country? And then you people wonder why people like me took a hard pass on the covid19 vaccine.

    • Even in the actual times of polio people were not stupid enough to vaccinate people who already had caught polio previously as they were smart enough back then to recognise it was not necessary.

    Yes, Novax Djokovic has…

You should be fine once your get your Clearance: Overseas Vacation International Departure injection. Just a small jab and you can travel wherever you want.

Just call up a local doctor and let them know your want your C.O.V.I.D. shot and they'll sort it all out for you.

  • Australia has been dropped off the list of countries you can enter from for non-essential reasons who aren't vaccinated.

Most airlines still require vaccination too, so you'd need to double check on all of them.

Doesn't appear that being a EU citizen matters, unless you're returning home (i.e. "essential" reason). Also differs per country, but blanket rule for the EU is you probably won't get in.

And now that I've been helpful, you could also stop being an idiot.

    • Well, Poland is one country that doesn't have any requirements, but as there are no direct flights getting there is probably the biggest hurdle as an unvaccinated person.

      • As long as the country you are flying to does not have a vaccine mandate, I don't see why they would stop you from leaving now.

If you are transiting, make sure you check the transit requirements

        • Yeah, I'll have to do some thorough research on my own I guess, seems some airlines are lagging behind the changes in the requirements.

      • Poland isn't exactly a great summer destination if you want to escape the cold. It'd be warmer in NE Qld. Or Greece, they dropped their requirements too.

        • -1

How dare you insult the fatherland, no country is a better destination than Poland.

  • 🇵🇹 is another free country.

Zero income tax and zero vaxpass.

    • +1

Oh, I didn't know they didn't have income tax in Poland!

(Narrator: Poland actually has several tax systems in place, but CrowReally is believing what a cryptobro has to say)

Only about 10% of the population is unvaxxed, half are people who cant talk (<5 years) let alone respond to this thread. Vax is looking to be the best option for OP, no debate about it.

    • -2

I've already had covid, and my question wasn't about the vaccine, but thanks for being one of many drones coming in here and shitting up the thread.

I know, it's incredibly selfish of them, it's important to think about others as well.

For a society to work, we need to be less selfish and think about the overall wellbeing of others!

      • Instead of resorting to name calling, pick up the phone to your local MP, start lobbying the government to change the rules if you think they are no longer fit for purpose. This is the wrong "forum" to post your grievances, you even knew this coming in but decided to try to validate your world view instead of thinking about other people's perspectives.

I think you'll find it difficult as I don't think any airlines will take you (but I could be wrong), if you were going to come back as you mention you'd like to 'leave for the winter' you might have difficulty getting back in https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/covid19/unvaccinated-travelle… or apply for an exemption, even with an exemption I think you'd have to do a 14 day quarantine at your own expense. If you're an Australian citizen you should be able to come back but may have to quarantine. You might also have VISA issues if not an Australian citizen.

Maybe someone should start a business running flights/boats for unvaccinated people to leave. Small market though, as it's only 5% of the adult population.

    • Nah, nah, Virgin Airlines and British Airways will even let you fly into the UK now without a mask as the mandates are gone, it depends on where you are coming from and transitting though. All these requirements are being lifted and likely to return to how things were pre-covid within another 6-12 months anyway, not like they will be permanent so I'm not sure what vaccine mandate nutcases will argue for when that happens.

      • Are British Airways or Virgin Airlines running any flights out of Australia to the UK at the moment?

    • Maybe someone should start a business running flights/boats for unvaccinated people to leave.

But not come back? Sounds like a great idea!
