        Ha ha, good one

      • with so many phones , most with 5G and decent screens, the android versions will be the next fussy feature ….. my nokia 8.3 5G just got android 12 today …..

        • +1

Mmmm tell me more about my fussy

  • +10

I thought LG is out from mobile market

    • +7

Yep, as of July 31st 2021; this was launched in May of 2020.

    • +2

Don't expect update from LG like my LG G6

      • +8

Surprisingly, my v50 for A11 on Monday. It was a freaking miracle

        • Update from the grave

        • +1

Like Real Madrid's win against Man City 🤯😵

        • +1

Yep same! Lol. And loving it. Runs smoother, higher refresh? Screen quality has improved. Brighter in the sun too so more visible. Deeper blacks? Anyway it's great. Was about to replace but now will keep for longer

          • @FrozenFred: Wait, there's higher refresh rate? Where is it?

Yeah, at this point, since I can't ever consider a phone without headphone jack, I'm just gonna repair the screen and keep using this phone. Aside from the Google tensor core translation AI, no new phone features interests me. The only thing I've been complaining about on this phone is the battery, and 8 hour sot is still not bad.

            • @Wonderfool: Nah there's no setting to it and I'm probably wrong but just "feels" like they've improved the screen by really letting it output what it's capable of since its likely the last thing they'll do (so got adventurous)

        • It's buggy and missing features. PiP didn't automatically move when keyboard pop up. Wireless debugging isn't there in the developer option.

          • @Duoka: Yeah, I don't see wireless debugging either, but pip moves for me.

They promised 3 years of updates for phones released in 2020 (this one). https://www.androidauthority.com/lg-android-updates-1216163/

      • +1

And since then they pulled out the market.
It's like expecting your money back from a company which went bankrupt

        • +2

Except they're not out of business. Just out of the phone business. They're a giant company and can easily aford to keep a skeleton crew doing updates in order to maintain their reputation.

Besides, how many people here (besides me) keep the same phone for more than 6 months? 😆

          • +1

@SteveOh: Exactly? Not that hard to understand.

    No delivery

If only the V60 with the dual monitor case released here.

    • +2

I would click the "Buy Now" button at the speed of light !!!

    • +1

I have a G8X, it's great for work I like not being always stuck to a bulky phone like the current dual screens are.

  • +2

only stock is over 10 hours away

  • +3

None in stock in Melbourne. If there's any near you, buy it. It's a great phone, and my third LG.

    It is very big though…

  • I had this phone and it's probably the most aestheti phone on the market.

I bought for $500 and sold it a couple months later for $400, since i wanted an s20 ultra

  • Unavailable 200km of Sydney

  • only in stock 500+km away from normal places, and they don't even deliver so it's basically impossible to have any chance.

WTF LG pulled out of the phone business like 3 years ago. My V50 just got android11 updateso so…

    • +9

      so…..so….so what…?

  • Anyone know where we can get the V60 Dual Screen for a good price?

    • AFAIK it's only ever been available from the US and China and mostly via eBay. You'd need to check if any of those include the Aussie frequencies.

      • I did a small amount of research, and I'm pretty sure they include aussie frequencies

  • -2

    Ozbargained?

    • +3

      Was never in stock

    • +3

      Needs stock to be Ozb'd

  • i wanted to buy this, but there was only one single phone or no stock or out in the middle of nowhere and no delivery, so impossible to actually get.

  • +2

Anybody happen to get a screenshot? My Coles MC price protection is 2 years.

Decent phone. I've had mine since September 2020. Battery is still going well. Very little bloatware.

Camera is giving me problems these past couple of months, even after factory reset.

    • 2 years on price protection is crazy. You're guaranteed to find every phone cheaper within that timeframe

      • +1

        Yeah it's great.

There are some restrictions but I reckon I've gotten a couple of thousand dollars back over the past few years, mainly on electronics. I bought this phone for $888 in September 2020. Last price drop I claimed was $499, so I got the difference.

Has to be the exact same product at the same store. Still really good, especially for Amazon & JB.

Claim process is super easy and quick too. Takes just a few minutes online.

        • Lol wtf? It’s amazing how much they cover!
Lose or a damage a new item within 6 months? We got you!
Now if only I was stupid enough to get a CC again.

          • +1

@[Deactivated]: I don't think those price protection scheme are available to new customers.
Didn't realise Coles MC was 2 years.
            I've got 28° which is 12 months.

  • I managed to get one yesterday. While I was sorting the payment details, the one in grey went OOS. I got a white one instead - delivery from Bundall.
I've had G2 and G3 back in the day and they were pretty awesome for the time! Might as well try this while Google is sorting out Pixel 6 bugs.

  • is this the v30+ of 2022? i still have that phone and it keeps getting updates believe it or not, i sue it as a secondary phone

    • I think Velvet is like the Galaxy S tier while V30 is like the Galaxy Note tier. This Velvet is literally 2020

  • Can it make phone calls?

  • And SMS?

  • +3

    Thanks, OP!
Couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it on the JB Website for $299.
It's amazing that these were still floating around to be honest.
Comes with a decent case as well which was a nice surprise.
