Did Coles Mobile Mess up Porting and Lose My Number?

Coles mobile is absolutely terrible, I initiated my porting from Boost to Coles on 28th April, they said it got stuck. Did my wife exactly the same just 20 mins before mine, all went thru no issue.

After non stop chasing, calling & emails they finally activated the new sim last night, but now there is a 2nd bigger issue, my Boost sim still active with my number, meaning my number is running on 2 active sims !!!

Both dial out no issue, but the problem now is when an Optus number calls me, the Coles sim rings, and when landline or Telstra number calls me, the Boost sim rings. No one got Vodafone mobile so I can't test that. Worry about once Boost sim deactivated, calls won't route to Coles sim …

Already been escalating again to Coles but their tech team is just pathetic & slow. Seems they have only done half the port. I just want to know if anything will screw up making me losing my mobile number? Can't afford to do that as this number has been with me over 30 years since analogue days.

    Pay peanuts you get what

  • happened to me too, took few days to rectifiy the problem.

    • I am worry about the 2 form factor logon, really can't afford for them to disabled the old sim and sms still going to old sim, how on earth am i gonna login then … Can't believe 2022 and porting still can get this messy

      • I called them and it was fixed in 2 days. They had do to something manually.
I happened bacause I ported my number on the weekend.

I think if you can not afford to lose the number, just buy $2 telstra network prepaid sim and back to telstra network to sort this out. ie. buy $2 boost sim card.

Nah, all good yesterday late evening, all of a sudden my boost sim deactivated, hence quickly test calling from Telstra mobile, landland & sms, all route to my coles sim perfectly, even logon to MyGov, so to make sure 2 forms security sms works !!!

This is right after I raised a TIO ticket on monday, then got reply from TIO that they forwarded my case to Coles, after 1 day, all sorted out !!! Definitely need to put pressure on them.
