When it comes to ITX, why not get the B550i strix instead? Curious! :)

    • B550i Strix is superior as it has USB-C front I/O port, if you need that.

  • $345 :) .. i got a 5600+Gigabyte B550M Gaming Motherboard for the price of this motherboard alone and B550 vs X570 is meh … a few extra PCIE4 slots that are not really a thing on ITX anyways

thats a nice deal, can you show us it in your itx case?

      • Fits in the nr200 apparently. There is 2 sizes to matx, 24 and 20.

    • Where did you get the deal from?

Just one pita thing about this mobo you should know before buying - the front panel audio - sits under that ROG strix shroud - so you need to remove 4 screws to access it and it requires a miniature connector - the adapter comes in the box.

At this price, I would strongly consider getting a new platform for only 55 bucks more. https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B09L951RBJ/ref=ox_sc_sa…

The 12700K can be had for $505 on ebay and the 12600K for ~$350…

  • Price is a bit meh. This Asrock X570 for $159 with TB3 support was great! It's the only option out there if you want Thunderbolt in an ITX form-factor for AMD builds.

I had no need for one at the time but the price was too compelling so I picked it up anyway.. ended up finding a use for it shortly after. So glad I did!

      I got that deal.

Board was (profanity). Had to return for refund. Massive waste of my time. Heard about many others having issues with the board too

      • Oh yeah, there were definitely BIOS issues.. default out-of-the-box values caused my build to randomly hang after booting into Windows.

It took a good week to get to the bottom of it but was resolved in the end. Price may not have been worth the effort for some.

  • Just keep in mind that the AM4 socket is at its end of life!

I would see this as more of a pro than a con.

You'd be buying into a mature, stable platform, and not having to deal with a fresh set of issues as an early adopter of a new platform.

Rather than fork out a wad of cash for the latest and greatest every 2-3 years, buy last year's tech for half the price, and put the money saved towards your next build. Whatever you build now will be "end of life" in 6 month's time.

Oh yeap definitely, all i was trying to say is that you won't be able to upgrade in the future.

    Be ware, no front USB-C

As some who owned this exact motherboard go for the Asus Strix B550-I it's cheaper has front Type C IO and for the very few if any that has a RTX 3090 and wanted to use an active backplate it fit's it unlike the X570-i
