  • Are these the ones with the corrosion problem Sony won't fix under warranty?

    • Theyre the over ear version wh-1000
Having said that I haven't had an issue with mine

  • +2

Not sure about that, but these are the ones that feel like you're shoving a D&D dice set in your ear.

  • You will get a whole lot of ear wax with these probably.
Also these might have been good 2-3 years ago, now they have too many issues and are too big. For almost the same price you can get the Jabra Elite 75t which is way better.

    • Better from a fitment or size standpoint, but the sound and noise cancellation capabilities are still superior on the sonys

      • Yeah from the sound aspect the Sony is slightly better but as per my comment below, there are other areas where the Jabra elite 75ts are better than these Sonys.

    • If these fit fine, what other issues should I be aware of?

      • Call quality issues unless you disable the Hands free in Windows.
When I used these. if Hands free was on and i would watch a youtube vid and skipped part of the vid then the BT connection would drop altogether.
It is not IPX rated and not dust or water resistant so you cannot wear it at the gym or when you exercise. Also sometimes the touch controls do not operate as intended.

Sound wise though the XM3s are slightly better than the Jabra but due to the above IMO i say Jabra is better.

These are getting so old now they are probably refurbishments of refurbishments.

  • Avoid these and wait for the XM4 or Jabra's to be on sale.

these fall out easily and call quality is poor.

    • What do you do with it on for them to fall off easily.? I thought they stay on all day with general walking, head turns.

      • I had them for a good 3-4 months before i sold my set.

But in summary even trialing different and after market tips it would fall out easily even just bending over pick up stuff or doing weight exercises in the gym.

Even light running it would slowly pop out easily.

they are just too heavy for the tip design.

I would have loved to keep them if they fitted better because the ANC is really good.

I went with the Air pod pros and they sit really nice and snug and i can even play basketball with them.

i also have a set of Jabra 85T for work calls and they sit really nice too.

        • Thanks. I thought you were refering to the headphones. Sorry.

  • These are the worst branded earbuds you can get. The reviewers who pumped these up should be shot.

Firstly they stick out like Frankenstein bolts. They don't sit right. And sound is barely par.

Hard pass. Thank God for Amazon returns.
