Brisbane - Bali with Malindo Air via Beat That Flight. Price Seems Too Good to Be True??

Was looking on the Beat That Flight website for flights to Bali from Brisbane and came across a price that seems too good to be true.

BNE - DPS Return July 25 - Aug 02 for $281 https://bookings.beatthatflight.com.au/flights/BNE2507DPS020…

Ive gone through the booking form to the end multiple times and this is the price it comes to every time

Thats a great price, but am I missing something??

One way fare? No return leg necessary.

One typically says farewell to family and friends before stepping on a Malindo flight.

Some people don't want boring flights where you sleep or bury your face in a book, there is a market segment that likes to assume the brace position and have the O2 masks dangling in a windy fuselage.

Instead of heading straight on like it was supposed to, the pilot turned left.
It meant as they left the runway they veered hard left

Sometimes when English isn't the first language, left can literally mean left.

Air Traffic Control: Have you left the runway?
Pilot: Yes, aircraft has left the runway.

The budget airlines frequently have sale return airfares to various SEA holiday destinations for around the $300-$500 mark, so doesn't seem like a price error/too good to be true in comparison (given it is Malindo).

Malindo and by extension Lion Air (the parent company) have a terrible safety record. I'm not really counting the 737 Max incident because that was Boeing's failure, not so much the pilots.

As for the question on pricing, that seems about right for most of the deals I've seen from them and competing budget airlines.

The plane would be empty at the moment because it would have only recently gone on sale. They have 2.5 months to fill it and so have discounted the price. I expect the price to rise quickly as departure date approaches.

I would book with the airline directly to avoid problems with travel agencies like mytrip.com

I previously flew Malindo air Bris <—>Bali.
super cheap, heaps of leg room, 20kg luggage included, meal included, good inflight entertainment.

    would fly with them again.

I am flying with them again in September

    • ok, malindo have been rebranded as Bantik Air.

flight bris<—>bali did not include meal or inflight entertainment.

      still plenty of leg room.

      more comfortable than flying jetstar.

softdrinks are $2 - not bad for an airline.

Do they take the filthy unvaccinated?

I booked similar dates bris/Bali return for $250 with Jetstar on the last sale. Price seems right.
