My eBay summary page always won't show what code I have.

eBay said working on it but never got it fix.

    • +1

You dont always need to go to your my Summary page,

you should be able to visit the item page,

(just visit multiple random item pages where the item itself is >$15.01< 30, the code should be visible there, (if your account has one).

If not then i guess eBay hasn't put it on your account.

    • +3

Hit up customer support and say you can't see your code and want to make a purchase today. They'll generate a code for you.

    • same, its not working for me anymore too.

    • At least they are trying to work on your's. I flagged the same thing to them and they said that's how the page is meant to be, that no code is to be shown -.-"

  • This is a deal?

  • Seems targeted.
I can't see it in My eBay or on a Plus Item worth over $50

  • I got this last month, but nothing on my ebay summary now :(

  • +1

Yes, I can confirm ebay said the monthly $5 voucher system was 'broken' and would be fixed. I guess the fix is now done and is slowly being rolled out to all plus accounts.

    • I wondered what happened to my monthly code.

    • +1

eBay Support have told me: "… the $5 voucher for the month of April and May will be issued on your account anytime before the 20th of this month."

      • got same answer. however I used another account joined 1month e+, straight away received $10 bonus, $5 off 15 and monthly $5 off 50. so different they treated existing customer as "less care".

  • Whats the code again?

    PLUS5C - it doesn't work?
"Looks like that's the wrong code. Please double-check and try again."

Edit: I think this is targeted. don't see it in my summary page

    • +1

Yes starting with something like that,

You need to be a eBay plus member and be spending at least $15.01 in the transaction to get $5 discount.

On top of that MAY BE eBay might have not made it universal (like not eligible on all item, but on some eligible items only ?)

e.g. for me code shows up on this item for example

      • Yes i am all of that

        doesn't work? strange.

      • +1

i think hes talking about this from the summary page …

Anyone else thinking Ebay Plus in the past 12 months hasn't been nearly as good as the previous 12 months/when it started? Lacking value deals etc.. considering the voucher they often offer for sign up, it is probably still worth it.. But certainly isn't as attractive of a program as it previously was.

    • +2

I'm an ebay seller, and I have duplicate listings for the same item. One for normal buyers, and another for the ebay Plus members, with higher pricing to cover the "free express/postage". Ebay has changed the the program many times over the past year to tweak it into something that is workable for all parties. (Although, I have to say it's a pain in the arse to have to resort to duplicate higher priced listings just to be part of the ebay Plus program).

  • +1

Looks like it might be going for another round, it just popped up for me with a 29/6 expiry.

  • I have the code in my summary but what are the Eligible Items.

    • From my experience most items are eligible except may like gift cards, cars, jewelry etc kinda stuff. (Given the purchase amount is >$15 after GST)

if you see it in your eBay summary page, then it should also be displayed on the item page too.

And even if its not on item page then try increasing the quantity so the order total is >$15, and you go to cart. I have bought two $8 items with this, and code worked fine at checkout.

  • I haven’t gotten one this month, is it finished?

  • +2

On 11th, I hit up customer service about why I didn't get the monthly voucher for past 2 months (April and June). They said they'll need to escalate it and get back to me by email.

Today I got an email for $10 off no minimum spend!

Definitely worth trying to chase them up for it!

And the voucher for the month of July will be credited within 28th July and if the voucher is not credited by then, kindly get back to us.

    • Update, I got my $5 off $15 spend for July!

  • Merged from [eBay Plus] $5 off Eligible Items (Min Spend $15) @ eBay
    Go to Deal
    Coupon Code: PLUS5C

Similar to this deal. Targeted, but those who previously got it should get it again.

$5 off for $15 spend on most items on eBay (doesn't need to be eBay Plus items, a lot of non-eBay Plus items are eligible too)

    Code expires 14 August 2022

It appears eBay have stopped sending many Plus members their $5 monthly coupons that are meant to be part of the paid service.

      • +2

I got mine yesterday despite my subscription renewal anniversary being start of month.

      • +2

I raised a request about this 2 months ago, and had to keep re-contacting them every week or so.
They finally resolved the issue by issuing me a unique code for $15 (3 months).
Of course now, I need to contact them again for the missing $5 vouchers since I raised the original request.

        • +2

I raised this issue twice, escalated to backend each time. Still nothing. Hate the inconsistent support.

        • +1

I didn't get one for June and July.

Contacted them via chat yesterday again. They said they will "escalate to their technical department", and get back to me via email.

          • +1

@DoctorCalculon: Let's hope they actually do, the problem is you don't have visibility.
I wanted to ask reference number, but the support person wrote "I hope this information solves your query." and chat was immediately terminated.

            • +2

              @johnmelb:

I wanted to ask reference number

The reference number is within the email subject of the chat transcript (which is sent automatically after the chat ends).

              • +2

                @DoctorCalculon: Thanks.
Amazing that you get better support from unpaid OB'er than paid plus membership …

                • @johnmelb: Just to let you know I have had no luck receiving those PLUS codes for the missing months even with two follow up chats so far.

Like you mentioned, there is zero visibility as to whether the eBay CSRs actually contact the right department.

                  • @DoctorCalculon: An update on my ticket about 4 missing vouchers:
                    1) ebay claims I did get one for one of those months, and told me the expiry date was "blah" - I check my account summary every week so doubt this
                    2) for the other 3 months they agreed it wasn't issued so
                    - 1x $10 voucher for the 2 months
                    - for the June/July one: they want me to wait a few more days to see if it would be issued "by the system" in the coming days ??

                    • +1

@johnmelb: I raised 5 tickets for the July voucher - each with promises that I would receive it after the escalation.
More than 48 hours after the last ticket, I still didn't receive the July one.

I did get an August voucher.

                      • +1

                        @johnmelb:

I did get an August voucher.

I can confirm this as well. It came through via email on 02 August 2022, much to my surprise.
I was under the impression I would have to chase them up on this one as well.

    • I got AU $15.00 off your purchase of AU $150.00 or more

    • +3

eBay are a joke. I contacted them about the randomness of these $5 off $15 coupons, some months I get them, other months I don't, the July one landed on 16/7. They "raised" the issue with tech support but I never heard back. I asked them to credit me a manual $5 coupon for the month that past where I didn't get it, they said they cannot. The fact these are part of a paid subscription makes it worse.

    • +2

They should just make these universal codes. They can clearly track how many times your account has used a coupon and I would think they have made their money from people potentially getting more codes when signing up late in the calendar month, with all these missed codes.

    • any recommend items for the $15?

      • Prepaid $30/$40 sim kits

  • +1

I didn't get mine for July. CSR said she would escalate to a "specialist team" who would email me in 5 to 7 business days.
She said that could not just give me a $5 coupon.

    • Yea it takes them 2 month to review these $5 vouchers

But my guess is they tryin to reduce the no. Of people they are giving these $5 vouchers to.

But all eBay plus members should get $5 vouchers as part of the ebay plus sign up deal

      • +1

But my guess is they tryin to reduce the no. Of people they are giving these $5 vouchers to.

I don't think that's the case, eBay just have a really shitty system. Their previous $5 off $50 spend that went to everyone worked flawlessly, until they realised no one was signing up for those so they reduced the minimum spend. However, at the same time broke something that stopped giving out the vouchers.

        • For a tech company, they don't seem that techie ..
That brings up memories of ebay running a promotion, and having to re-list the item 4-5 times to get it right.

  • +1

Just got another one, 31/8 expiry.

I didn't get one for July, but I did get one for June. I'm fine with this, I didn't use the old one (with the $50 min spend and Plus items only) much, $5 off $15 spend almost sitewide is great.

    • I've been consistently getting my monthly $5 since complaining back in early July. It's great for buying small stuff you need around the house, and if you plan it right, it is 33% off with code + whatever % you get ebay gift cards for.

My code actually start with MYPLUSxxxxxxxxxx not sure if its part of a new system or they've changed all codes to this now.

      • I got an email earlier today where they actually listed both $5 coupons as separate deals.

My latest coupons are MYPLUSxxxx for the $50 spend and PLUS5Cxxxx for the $15 spend.

And to my pleasant surprise the $50 spend coupon appears to allow non-Plus and ineligible items to make up the minimum spend. Earlier today I won a $54 auction, I tried all the current codes and none worked, I added a $18 Plus item and was surprised to see the $5 code show up in checkout, it applied and worked.

  • And that's another one, expires 2/10. Keep them coming eBay!

Kind of makes me consider getting Plus for a second account.

Edit: OK, maybe not, this is still targeted unfortunately.

  • eBay keep telling me that the new vouchers will all be $5 of $50 and there’ll be no more $5 off $15

    • +1

Tell them you only joined because of the monthly voucher. Which was in the T&S when you joined.

  • Mine disappeared from my list of vouchers and was not offered at checkout. It was there yesterday & was offered for >$15 items.

Good news is I kept the email with the voucher code and added it manually for my $5 discount on a $16 item.

Sneaky ebay hiding it…. Gotta remember your vouchers as ebay won't always remind you.

Edit: Bunmer I can't upvote this still active deal.

    • Can confirm that my partner's $5 of $15 voucher disappeared too …
Emails/ebay messages have been very inconsistent .. of course these ones were not communicated via message nor email :-(

  • Didn't get my voucher for February. The time of the month they're sent is sporadic. Support is pathetic as usual.

  • Didn't get it this time, have they stopped it?

    • eBay is just inconsistent, complain via chat

      • Thanks mate

        • No worries, make sure they don't trick you by saying you got the "MYPLUS" $5 off $50.
          You need the PLUS5C.. $5 off $15.
If they don't rectify, let them escalate to the backend, sometimes you get $5 off $5.01 then..

I was wondering where my coupon is this month so checked the Ts&Cs only to find eBay has snuck in a revision to end this promo on the 15th. What a shame, Plus will be dead to me.

    https://pages.ebay.com.au/buyer_coupons/plus5c/

    • thanks for letting us know. Unfortunate that we're gonna lose this voucher :(

    https://pages.ebay.com.au/buyer_coupons/plus5l/

    • eBay has been scummy and refused to issue the PLUSC voucher this month despite issuing mine on the 13th/14th in every previous month, and ignored my instance they honour the current promo as it has not expired yet.

No doubt they are dragging it out so tomorrow they can say promo ended today and you get the PLUS5L voucher instead.
