In addition to the sale, a new update for the game was just released which adds a map creation and editing feature to the game. Once you have created a map you can publish it to the Steam Workshop and share your creation with the community. You can check out the map editor on the Portal 2 Blog. It looks fairly simple and straight-forward to use.

        No real point in buying it because you'd rather pirate it or what? Not everyone likes to download illegally you know.. Some people like to give back to the developers so they can continue to create great games.

        And just FYI it has a co-op campaign with new missions where you have to work together and it brings a whole new experience to the game. You really don't know what you're missing out on.

        Just know that I will always pirate games. I've pirated thousands in my lifetime and not once have I actually bought one.

      haha Exactly! I used to buy these when they popped up cheap each week, i finally decided it was just slowly emptying my wallet as I never got around to playing them anyway. Best just to wait for the Summer sale and set a budget, buy a few games and then wait another 6-12 months and buy another lot.

    Note that Final Hours isn't DLC as in 'extra game content', it's an interactive ebook about the making of Portal 2.

      Correct, it's a digital book. I removed it from the post though as it disappeared off the Steam store and after doing a quick search, I came across this: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26916…

      Basically when you launch the Final Hours 'content' it connects to an official Portal site to grab the latest copy of the digital book. What someone has done is somehow gotten access to the website (probably injected through an exploit) and added malware.

      I'd recommend anyone who has launched the Final Hours content to run a virus scan on your computer.

    I finished this over the weekend, much more challenging than the original. Only negative for me was the physics of some puzzle, made a 10min puzzle turn into a 1 hour 'fuck this game', but by the end it was all worth it, 9.5/10.
