Most Cost-Effective Way to Mail with Tracking to USA

Can somebody help me?

I have some small metal military dog tags that a family member in the USA would like me to send to them.

Since they are of great sentimental value, we want good quality packaging and tracking.

Since they are very small I don't want to overpay either.

Is Australia Post the best way to go about this or is there a better, more cost-effective way, do you think?

Australia Post wants $15.20 for a standard satchel up to 250g. Seems like a lot, but I'll pay it if I have to.

Thanks.

15 bucks for international shipping seems pretty fair. cost me $20 to send registered post (no tracking!) to the UK, and that was just paper.

a lot of retailers charge $10 - $15 to ship something within Australia.

  • Not sure where you got the AusPost charge of $15.20 because my checking shows $21.00 for Standard Air, or #17.00 for Economy Air.
Having said that, as a qualified business account holder it would cost us $15.25 for 25gm - Satchel does not show as an option?
