I thought this was an 18 knife global set, would have bought multiple at that price!

Have had global knives for 8 years and they are great for at home

For those on a tighter budget I’d recommend this similar Ikea set: https://www.ikea.com/au/en/p/ikea-365-3-piece-knife-set-3045…
Purchased approx. 18 months ago & have found them to be very good, also their blade sharpener does a great job https://www.ikea.com/au/en/p/skaerande-knife-sharpener-black…

I purchased these yesterday, havent used them yet, but gee they feel very thin and flimsy when i was washing them.

      • You can't expect them to be as awesome as your batarangs.
Mine can finely slice soft tomatoes. I've banned the OH from using them due to risk of bleeding fingers.

What are your thoughts on using them?

        • I wasn’t expecting much to be honest, just saying what I thought about their strength quality.

They are pretty good, definitely not as good as my Globals, but probably on par with my Stanley Rogers. These were to replace my Stanley’s for guests and kids to use, keeping my Globals in tiptop condition.

Can confirm at this price will be hard pressed to find better value

    • yep, only downside is that you need costco membership…..but if you look at ebay and other places you won’t get the 3 knives for this price or cheaper.

Kmart has much cheaper one .

  • Would this be same price in store or cheaper?

  • Would jump on this if I had a costco membership.

I have had this set since 2015, love it, going strong. I recall paying close to $300 for them, got them off ozb, highly recommended.

    • How do you sharpen your knives?

      • Stones soaked in water for a few hours - once a quarter or as needed
Then hone with the diamond Global hone before and after each use using medium pressure.

        • Thanks !
