Great deal if you're in Melbourne.

    • +1

Is this something I'm too west aussie to understand?

        • Wow that's horrifying. Something going wrong. Good luck y'all.

        • Wow that's pretty high, and I'm going next month for an event. Kind of re-considering now.

          • +2

@Rated3: Unless your events in the outer western suburbs or a Melbourne Victory game I wouldn’t worry

      • i think they are referring to the recent increase in knife related violence especially in Melbourne

      • +2

because youth crime is so bad in melbourne and everyone is stabbing each other and everyone's car is being stolen

        • +26

*Sudanese youth crime. Don't see too many others running around with hatchets. (The negs will neg but will never post data to prove otherwise).

          • +5

@Spets: tbf you didn't post data to prove it either lol

            • +5

@tetra: Herald Sun, ‘Police Admit: Sudanese 44 times more likely to break law’, viewed on 16 November 2017, http://www.heraldsun.com.au/blogs/andrew-bolt/police-admit-sudanese-44-times-more-likely-to-break-law/news-story/8ca308022ba8fbbc4b89ed50504271c5.

              Just a lazy example

                • -3

@carlscott1982: good to note also that andrew bolt is a stupid, race-baiting asshle

                  • -1

@0jay: Try to look past your opinions on people and look at data they present objectively

                    • -4

@Spets: my comment says nothing about the 'data', only about the asshle presenting it

as for data, how it's compiled, how it's understood's really a bit beyond a bargain forum to knock any substance into that

                      • -2

@0jay: But you’re using the (profanity) argument to insinuate that the data is not valid. That doesn’t fly anymore

                        • +2

@Spets: i'm saying bolt is in no position to claim objectivity when interpreting data (however plain the implications of that data may seem)

i'm saying if you swallow the notion that bolt has any kind of credibility in this discourse you're sad and naive.

                        • +2

                          @carlscott1982:

                          he's manipulated the data

you can really leave the discussion here.

if y interested in data as such then heraldsun's not going to help.

if you're interested in understanding data then using bolt as a reference point's just a fart in an elevator and you're either quite unwell and not in control of your bowel movements or you're an antisocial asshle

                • @carlscott1982: Well they were responsible for the murders of 12 and 15 y.o. boys very recently

    • +4

Machete bins too full atm anyway..

    • lol but more of a self condoling rather than a meaningful use against a machete wielding ‘youth’.

    • +2

One day delivery … almost as quick as it is to get bailed here.
      :P

  • +1

    Thanks OP, good find.

  • +2

Despite two of the three features that make this useful for a car, NSW Police would hang you out to dry for carrying this in your vehicle, considering our nanny state laws.

    • +14

      That's why I always carry my Ozito 36v chainsaw with 2 X 4.0Ah batteries.

      • +3

i dub thee knight of the realm, sir ash of carnage and righteousness

    • it's a valerie solanas pocket stabbie hack tool, occifer

    • Wait, I thought it is illegal to carry one.

Is it illegal to have it in the boot too?

      • Self defence won't be a acceptable reason for carrying a knife in public place. You may get away with a Swiss multi tool or leatherman in your car.

      • It's illegal on your person or in your vehicle. IIRC the law doesn't specifically state that it's OK based on where you keep it in the car. It's basically a broad-sweeping rule: if it can be used as a weapon (regardless of where you keep it) you can get stung. Obviously, there are lawful excuses, but for the most part, I dare say having this just sitting in your car (or in your boot) will give the cops cause to question you.

        • They'll annoy you if you have a utility knife, so yeah.

        • +1

Just choose to not answer any questions!

  • +1

At least these will fit in the machete disposal bins

    • It's been a huge success according to Jacinta. 1386 knives and machetes. So about $9300 per knife based on the $13million cost. Would be interesting how many machetes and how many table knives were put in as they dont separate the numbers. The only people handing them in would have been law abiding citizens who had them for gardening and too worried that they would have been found with them. What a joke

      • +3

Can they just pay me $9200 to not buy a machete?

      • can't put a price on life.

except on the darknet and stuff

  • How about this one? https://amzn.asia/d/8QtAtZQ

    • +2

The blade is only half of the length means if you are stabbing really thick steak it may not be cutting through.

    • +1

it's not pink, how can a knife not pink

  • +2

Prefer to grab my knives from the bins.

    • The free item is back in stock? It's still bugged for me - what was it?

  • Is the FLI- a hint that it has space for a spring?

    • They sell multitools and fixed blades too, doubt it’s an elaborate code.

  • Looks to be expired?

  • Says offer isn’t available when I tried…

  • Got one in a previous deal @$21, nice carry size and nice to open. Doesn't stay sharp for long but can't expect much at the price.
