Damn just bought the 45 pack … so bought this too.

  • +3

Still waiting for a good deal on the gold 4 ply… Seems like never now as the inflation goes :(

  • use Shopback or cashrewards for this to get track cashback? thanks

    • +2

ShopBack: Health, Household Products (Includes Laundry, Supplement, Cleaning Supplies): 0.00%

      Cashrewards: Health & Household: 0%

    • cashback does not include 'subscribe and save'

      • -8

I never "subscribe and save", thanks

        • +6

You save 10% using S&S, you won't be getting anywhere near that from cashback if it flukes into an eligible category. And this is an instant benefit.

        • +1

I am not allow to ask for I don't know?

      • +1

        This has been changed.

        • +2

I think SB now allows CB for the initial S&S.

    • Buy the amazon gift card

  • Are there still toilet paper shortages in supermarkets?

    • +6

      Haven’t got a clue.
For 2 years have only bought from Amazon/OzB deals

    • My local looks good normal but it is a small community so everyone is probably fully stocked for the next few years.

      Blue Mountains LGA.

    • -2

Yes. We desperately need to rape more virgin forest

      • +7

Where's the "Free bidet for every household" campaign in this election? Actually that's not a bad idea for trees, but less so for water restrictions.

        • That’s a sensible policy. Please leave such constructive ideas out of politics!

        • +1

I actually have several TOTOs… couldn’t live without them (possibly hyperbole, but I’m being deadly serious here)

          • +1

@tharlow: Toto was one of the first things I bought when I came back from Japan. They're a serious life changer.

            • @Clear: Hey clear, Toto what exactly?
              It’s a brand not a thing.

Sorry just trying to make sense from your comment.

              • +1

@ozy: People use brands in sentences like that all the time and it makes sense in English.

    • Yes, toilet paper, tissue boxes, paper towel, all in-house brands are out of stock plus no deals on coles & woolworths for Handee etc
      in Victoria (western suburbs)

    • Local Coles and woolies didn't have any decent priced tonight (WA)

    • No, plenty in SA though there was a shortage of tissue Alovera Kleenex for about 4 weeks but it's back.

  • -4

Please do not hoard toilet paper. Let toilet paper be distributed equitably.

    • +4

Literally every supermarket I go to has stacks and stacks. People must live in some pretty messed up suburbs if they're hoarding.

    • +1

I have a household of 6. I don't think it's possible for me to hoard TP.

      • -2

What’s your roll per day usage? Six butts — I assume y’all are regular?

    • Your daily OzPSA bought to you by the fake news media.

      LOL!

    • This is free market economy not dictated ration economy

      • Free market economy? Lol

  • does anybody know what happens when the amazon delivery is unsuccessful??

    • +23

      Means you’ll be using leaves

    • +2

      Garden hose

    • They’ll find a way. Toss it onto the roof if that works for ya

    • Use water and bucket like in Bali

    • They leave it if you request that. Did that for me last time.

  • +2

Looks like I’m canceling the 45 pack.

  • +1

    Thanks OP. Got one.

    • +1

… or 48, to be exact

  • +1

Cancelled the 45. Got this, arrives Sunday

  • +2

Have to confess I bought the 20 pack of double length, hate changing those rolls!

  • +2

I think I prefer the 5 x 9 pack = 45 rolls, only 1 cent per roll more expensive? … or am I missing something?
    https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B07KY6Z67S

    • +1

      Yep, the 1c per roll.

      • +5

<<<< Single guy, it takes me a while to get through 40+ rolls, I like the 5 x 9 packs, easy to throw a 9-pack in the campervan and such, it's not like opening a 48 pack and having 48 loose rolls getting dusty and such… each to their own… having the multiple sealed packs is worth the 1 cent per roll to me ;)

        • +2

Quite like the 5x9 pack inners in the 45pack, easier to store for me personally…. Worth it for the extra 1c/roll? Up to the OzBargainer.

          • @Haulien: Whew, glad I'm not the only one, lol…

    • How come you prefer it?

      • As above, ;)

    • Why would you prefer something more expensive?

Edit: good point. I stack mine Tetris style under the stairs. I'll stick with the 45 pack.

  • Ordered from Amazon once. The roll is smaller and loose. Use half a roll per toilet visit. Never again,

    • Errrrr what? What did you order? The quilton 45 pack is exceptional value and is a proven ozbargain favourite. I've ordered all of my TP from A azon for years, almost always quilton and it's perfect. Maybe you ordered a different brand?

  • -2

    Thanks op. Bought 5 pack.

  • now thats a lotta shit-tickets

  • Costco cheaper

    • Can you please share the price from Costco?

      • I paid $19.49 yesterday

        • +2

With S&S $19.80 delivered, save time and energy to push the trolley. Happy either amazon for this case.

        • I paid $19.49 yesterday

Is this their everyday price or discounted?

          • @CVonC: To answer my own question yes it is Costco's everyday price

  • +3

    Thanks op.
    Appreciate the post.

As with most toilet paper sales i tend to go off the unit price of things to ensure I have a bargain.
Do you know what the unit price of this is.
Eg: Aldi has ones for $0.22 per 100 sheets.

    Cheers

    • +2

      $0.23 per 100 sheets using S&S(1980/48/180=0.22916666666666667)

    • +1

Also Coles are $0.22 per 100. I'm not sure about math on sheets but the Coles ones are 190 sheets vs 180 sheets for this Qulton.
      $19.80 vs $22.00 for 48 rolls.
      https://shop.coles.com.au/a/gympie/product/coles-so-soft-3-p…

      • +1

I used to like the Coles one but find lately that it's not nearly as good as Quilton. Don't know if they changed it.

        • +1

since Quilton originator sold his interest I think there's some subcontracting going on where another brand might be made in the same factory - maybe Aldi - if you compare the embossing on their 3-ply sheets you might see it's pretty similar - so that's a maybe Aldi is same factory but cheaper if 22c as someone said

          • +1

            @Hangryuman: Thanks everyone.
At only a cent or two per 100 sheets I ended up biting the bullet and subscribed to this.
Did the 6 monthly delivery as only a family of 2.5.

  • +1

Is this the go to place these days? As i have not seen half price (or any discounts) at coles n wollies since a couple months ago

  • How come the S&S option is not showing up?

    • +1

      Too many OzBargainers bought it
Once it’s on backorder, the S&S disappears

Thanks for letting me know, updated the description accordingly

      • So could go ahead to the SS for 45 rolls pack

        • Yup, that’s still available
Most ppl would’ve cancelled the 45 pack order to buy this deal instead as it works out to be $0.01c cheaper per roll

  • by my calculation $22.00/(48x180) gives 25.5c/100 sheets

not very special considering the standard price of Quilton in supermarkets for years was 26c/100 sheets

I know the price has gone up recently to more like 28c/100 sheets

but this deal is not something I'm excited about

I called Quilton on quality some years back when I got a pack with way too much glue wodging the first like 5 layers together requiring destroying many sheets to get to something useable - they asked me to return it to them and paid me $20 to cover postage - and fixed it - but glue is still a bit hit and miss - often slightly too much so that's a quality control issue with this tissue - 2 sheets still good for nose blowing 'atishoo !'

    • They have all gone downhill, sorbent was my favourite but that’s now trash.

  • +2

    remember the following though

45 pack is actually packaged as 5 x 9 packs.
    Easier for storage and movement.

48 pack is 48 individual rolls within one plastic outer wrapper.

So I prefer the 45 deal, as easier to store and transport

  • Late for party :(

  • It is still available !!! Ordered one!

    • You probably ordered the 45 pack :)

  • Ordered 48 pack. Delivery expected 31 May - 6 June.

  • Jesus these are all together in one huge 48 roll bag.
    (Not 9x roll packs!).
I love having 48 roll cube in my toilet.

  • +3

    Available again

    • +1

      excellent thanks!

  • +1

Thanks OP! bought 5. Hopefully won't have to brave the shops for any of them anytime soon!

  • S/s back in stock

  • -1

Should be illegal to not use at least 20% recycled paper in toilet paper. It's not difficult, yet would make a big difference.

It's not like the paper needs to be gloss white and pristine like so much toilet paper either; we're literally only wiping our arses with it!

    • It all ends up the same colour anyway

      • Indeed, it really $hits me.

    • I would be worried if it had a recycled cardboard colour! ;-)

  • $9 for the 45 pack on special atm.

    • +1

Third party seller, which just launched
I would avoid as they could be phishing for your details

    • Also need to pay for delivery.

$15 for 5 packs makes it $12 each for the 45 pack. Hmm

      • Yikes I shouldn't of placed an order 😬.
