  I would say that after having my hands on this gen Nitro 5, Helios 300 and Triton 500, Helios isn't too bad, but as mentioned above, there's strong competition in this price range

  Aorus has better screen, build, keyboard.

  Acer has to be cheaper to consider it.

    Any tips on optimising battery life for the Helios 300?
    I run at 50% cpu when unplugged but it's still pretty woeful tbh.

      if you have the same CPU (I have 11800H in my Aorus 17g), I run mine on battery saver, more than enough grunt to do anything without feeling slow
