Recently reported research (heard on ABC Radio National, in recent weeks) concluded that:

citronella isn't really effective

effective means (to keep mozzies away) are repellents that are applied to the skin

On that basis, this really isn't a Deal, at any price…

UNLESS, of course, you buy & use it because you like the lemony fragrance… ;-)

  As a living mozzie magnet, I can vouch that these things are only effective when the mozzie happens to fly into the candle. Otherwise they are useless.

  its only effective if you surround yourself with heaps of these, well… if you can survive the lack of oxygen first :P
  
  but i burn them in the toilet because I like the smell of citronella over something else.
