Yes saw that - a little strange, maybe water damaged 43in that shrunk? Or a 32in on steroids?

        cold weather shrinkage

everyone knows you dont put them on a warm wash

  • Not bad. The actually aesthetics of the TV look quite nice… decent response time (8.5ms) 3 HDMI inputs. Not a bad find op!

Only thing comparable to this is the Soniq 32" for $199 at JB hifi.

  • Aldi never give much away. What's the star rating?

  • i heard these off sizes are panels that don't make the cut for 42" etc.

  • This would make for a nice 'picture viewer' on the wall for the missus.

    50Hz?

  • Could it be a Kogan in a Bauhn package?
    Very similar specs…..

    • And if you find a store that is closing (like the Logan one in Qld near Ikea) it's an even better deal

DSE sale ends today and the 3 reviews aren't that positive for the DSE tv.

BTW the missus rekons that the quicker "response time" the extra 1" will make "all" the difference……

    • Review on DSE website…

I bought this TV as we had earlier purchased a 32 inch DSE tv for my mother inlaw and a 42 inch DSE tv for our son. We have a 40 inch Kogan tv which we have never been happy with because of terrible audio problems,(it is like sitting in a tunnel) and sound dropouts. We had no luck with Kogan as they said the problem was to do with our reception. So we thought we would try the DSE as we liked the others we had purchased. When we opened the box we found that everything on the tv was exactly the same as the Kogan we were replacing, right down to the setup and sound dropouts. The remote buttons are small and very hard to use. In all this tv is nothing like the 32 & 42 inch tv's and we are very disappointed. I rang and spoke to a DS consultant who told me we could exchange in any Dick Smith store, which is what we will be doing.

Don't bother getting this if you plan on hooking up a game console to it. The lag is atrocious, across all inputs.

  • I have two different ALDI Bauhn LCD TV within my circle and the TV channel change time is horrendous. When you change from one channel to the other one has to wait 2-3 secs with a black screen before picture appears. Did not return as thought a firmware upgrade may solve it but such upgrades are non-existant with this brand. So far okay as a computer monitor.

  • Does anyone actually own THIS TV to know that the input lag is terrible, or just going off what a previous Bauhn TV is like? I'm really keen to get this, but WILL be plugging my PS3 in via HDMI and playing first person shooters.
