  • how about existing customers

    • It doesn't seem to specify new, I found this in the T&Cs:

Provided that you haven’t received any other one-off Everyday Rewards points in connection with this Energy Plan in the preceding 10-month period for the fuel supplied under this Energy Plan, you will be eligible to receive one-off Everyday Rewards points, as set out in the Details section, if you:

      (1) maintain the Energy Plan for a minimum of 30 days; and

      (2) provide your Everyday Rewards Plus membership number to Origin when you sign-up to the Energy Plan.

The one-off Everyday Rewards points for electricity and/or natural gas will be deposited into your Everyday Rewards account within approximately 45 days after your Acceptance Date.

Note that the Origin Everyday Rewards Plan is not their cheapest. I did sign up though and intend to switch to their cheapest plan (Origin Go) after I get the points.

    • I agree - other plans within Origin is cheaper.

    • However, the cheaper (variable plan) is definitely going to rise after July. So it might not be a bad choice to fix for 12 months ?

      • Origin website seems to imply that the Go plan has rates fixed for 12 months no?

        • Yes, but mt2010 says there are cheaper plan within origin, which are very likely to have variable rates

Wow ! Who'd have thought running a web front-end to retail energy was fo fscking profitable!? Something is seriously broken.

  • literally just signed up the same plan Origin Reward [new customer]yesterday, but it only offered 10000* only

    Must be sign up season!

Just changed to Alinta for $100/$200 Woolies gift card for electricity /electricity+gas through Econnex with 30 day min sign up.

Here $100/$150 Woolies credit for electricity /electricity+gas direct with Origin with 30 day min sign up.

Better cash offer, but 100d wait for cashback:
Shopback: $120/$171/$70 cashback for electricity /electricity+gas /gas at 12 retailers through Econnex
e.g. Alinta, but not Origin. Likely 30 day min sign up.

Am at start of 10 business day cooling off period, with 30 day min sign up.
So should be able to do this offer as well!

But do compare rates for your particular use & location to get best deal!

Is there a way to take advantage of the deal for 30,000 rewards points, on top of using a referral code?

Otherwise it's more beneficial to use a referral code rather than the above offer if only wanting electricity (offer is 20k/$100 worth of rewards points, referral is worth $100 + 5k/$25 worth of rewards points).

    • +1

I sign up using referral code and select wow plan. When I input my wow card number ( targeted and activated) it show 20000 points bonus included.
      Also $100 referral credit included.

    • what's the 5k/$25 worth of reward points for using a referral?

  • Thanks OP, after being forced out of Reamped..

  • So this says it's up to 30K points "Available for selected members", looking in the actual rewards site, it states 5K points for me.
I guess it's only going to be 5K so other better options as others have pointed out.

    Am I missing something?

  • Is it better to go with this plan and lock in price or go with the Solar boost one? Dilemma as not sure how much they'll jack up the variable price
