Just remember people that itspot / tech4u / wacomputers are megabuy in disguise. Doesn't mean it'll go bad, but at least go in knowing who you're dealing with.

  • Shipping shows as $11.95
Also, a 3.5" Desktop drive is NOT a portable drive. Revoking my +

    • Agreed. Personally I'm not buying these drives for portability, I'm buying them for my NAS :)

  • Good price, but I really dislike the way they up the shipping per item purchased.

  • Why cant they every have these on sale - http://www.itspot.com.au/seagate-freeagent-goflex-home-2tb-n…

  • So if it ships from Brisbane why does your website say this:

"As a leading online computer shop in Melbourne, Victoria, ITSPOT.COM.AU is the spot for all your online computer shopping needs."

    • Their headquarters are in Melbourne (outer suburbs) and they have warehouses in other capital cities.

  • whats your price on the wifi Seagates? I see Amazon are signicantly lower than regular prices. What is your price and when do you expect 1gb wifi drives?

    • Try 1TB :) Easy to make that mistake, have done so myself a few times while typing. How long before we have to type 1PB I wonder…

      • PetraBytes foobar? On external drives? ahh, where are we going?!

        • Yeah, can't wait for my first 1PB drive. Found an article from 2003 that said they were 7 years away, guess that was way off. Could be in for quite a wait on this one.

    • Is that a referral link?

      Edit: I guess it was.

  • I'm a bit dumb here… can anyone tell me what's the difference between the two 3TB models the OP listed? Why is the GoFlex one more expensive, by $24?

    • +1

The Goflex is a bit more versatile, and comes in a better enclosure that runs cooler & can be switched between NAS & USB bases (not hot swap though).

      I have these in 1TB USB 3.0 & 3TB NAS models, I like them. :)

      • Thx mate~

  • Can someone tell me if the 3TB FreeAgent GoFlex Desktop USB 3.0 Portable Drive for $199 is usb powered? I call up the company and they said that it is usb powered because what's in the box does not include a AC adaptor.

If its 3.5" then it needs power. I believe they are

  • Looks a good deal but how come megabuy can put deals under so many names? That sort of defeats the idea of having +/- votes does it not?

Look at the first big image here http://www.ausmedia.com.au/content/shopbot-com-au-scam-warni…

Will I'll give them a + but not sure I like the way the rig the search engines and now here.

(Oz gets a mention too as one of the better places to find a deal) Don't tell them about this!
