    • +8

damn i was looking to buy a game for ps5 that suits your taste

      • -5

Why looking to buy to suit my taste and not your? You’re easily influenced by others people taste?

  • +1

Best price ever for RE Village?

    • +2

Harvey Norman have had it for $28 around Xmas time, when I price matched it somewhere their system kept messing up and giving me 50% off the price match so I ended up getting it for $14 in the end lol. But legit price I think $28 is lowest I've seen.

    • +2

was also 28 for ps5 on Amazon last year.

  • +5

Most of these games have been discounted for a week or more now and are out of stock for the good ones.

  • Xbox are a mixed bag most cheaper elsewhere with a few exceptions.

  • Just Dance 2021 $2021

PC gamers missing out yet again.

What we miss on brick and mortar we more than make up in digital deals.

      • +4

In all honesty I feel steam sales and what not are lacking compared to what they used to be. I find most the time it is cheaper to buy games on PS4 / PS5 than through steam unfortunately.

        • +2

I can't recall the last time I bought something directly from Steam, all the key sellers have been awesome to me for deals.

        • +1

This is what happens when you give up physical copies for DRM laden codes.

I have a brother who like all the other steam fanatics goes on about steam sales and buying games for pennies that he never plays.

Then everytime he wants a major release he ends up paying more for it than we do for a phyiscal playstation or xbox copy.

Oh you want far cry 6 that just came out (this is at xmas) where it could be found as cheap as $49, with other ways to get it cheaper like the jb hifi vouchers than for $39….. and him bragging to me he picked it up cheap for $64 on pc…

The sad thing a lot of people also don't get about steamkey resellers is it's pretty much all organized crime money laundering.

All the messed up stuff that we hate like sex trafficking is normally washing their money through sites like that, that in many investigations have been shown to knowingly be involved in like g2a and ignore it.

But end of the day people get a game out of it so they never seem to care.

Bigw sells PC games? Not sure, maybe they hide somewhere

  • Any tips on actually buying a PS5?

      ScumTree?

If you're persistent and check every day you will find them from $800 and up (Xbox Series X go for $750 regularly in areas such as Melbourne which had 5 at that price when I checked about a week ago).

These are prices for the disc versions not digital ones, which are cheaper still.

I don't know about Facebook Marketplace.

eBay is way overpriced because sellers pay 13% of the sale price plus delivery to eBay (so to break even with about $40 for postage they have to sell for at least $820 plus postage) which is why they are priced at the $1,000 plus range on eBay.

Go into a store and make a pre order the old fashioned way, you may still end up waiting, but if you’ve got the funds ready you’ll end up with one soon

      • +1

@ Tal_Shiar this is what I did, Xbox Series X ready for collection in less than 2 weeks.

    • the actual tip is to call all the jb hifis up to the furthest you would drive to and put your name down on the waiting list. I did the same at Habour town on the Gold Coast and got a call to pick up 2 last year (had one in my gf name and one on my name, only went to pick up one. )

    • +1

Have you been to JB and put your order in? Took them 2 weeks to get my second PS5.

Immortals Fenix Rising - THE most frustrating game I have probably ever played.

Just thinking of it makes my skin crawl lol.

It's a great game otherwise, don't get me wrong, but omg they just went all out with the puzzles, which you must complete in order to progress anything.

What annoys me about it is that they just don't tell you about it in the way they promoted the game was like any other action RPG, but 90% of the time in the game is completing puzzles.

On the plus side, if you like puzzles, the ones in this game are absolutely brilliant (I would almost go so far as to say inspired) but they are really hard and even video tutorials don't help much because they rely on timing controller actions, like jumping on/off/around/under/shooting arrows at multiple targets, while you're on a moving platform, trying to avoid or control objects like balls, crates, and moving platforms, lasers, etc.

If you love puzzles, and you somehow missed this game, get it - It's on sale (or has been on sale very recently) in most places, at great discounts, and the puzzles alone will give you literally weeks of non-stop mind bending "fun".

Can anyone find Let's Sing mic pack ps5 or is this sold out?

  • -1

    Waiting for Amazon….

  • -1

    I'll wait for Amazon

    $29 for NFL22 is okay

  • +2

MS Flight Simulator at $40 is decent too.

Resident Evil Village is ok too at $29 (it's the first deep discount of this game I've seen, in digital format I think it was sitting at more than twice that for a long time).

But I'll wait for that to drop closer to $25 before I pull the trigger, since I have all the previous RE games, but haven't had time to start them yet.

  • C'mon Amazon dammit

  • +1

Battlefield 2042 still $9 on Amazon.

  • RELATED: The Title Of Respawn's Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Sequel May Have Leaked

Fave current gen game right there

  • 9 out of 10 PS5 games ordered from BigW arrived unsealed. Incredibly annoying.

Nice big thumb print on one of the discs too.

10th one had no disc, just code card so was still sealed.

  • -1

Re village is going for $49 and not $29?

    • +1

      Ps5 is $49
      Xbox is $29

  • Not sure how many of the xbox games are not on gamepass… I'd be buying.acheap 3 month sub to that instead.

And if you are a luddite that wants physical, still do the gamepass route, and if you love it and want to have a copy for your nuclear bunker, buy it second hand in a few months for a lot less.

I also can't remember the last physical game I bought that would run straight from the disk without a massive update of some type anyway.
