Offer applies only to those with existing Vast DSD-4121 Set Top Box looking to upgrade to PVR recording capability.

So it applies to 0.00001% of Ozbargain members ???

assuming you read the post right and saw there were 50 units in stock then your percentage assumes there are 50 million ozbargain members.
Also, just because this doesnt appeal to you jv doesnt mean you should cut it down. there arent usually many detractors to deals at specific melbourne/sydney suburban stores that have 20 units of something on special. As i have said before, if you factor shipping to an area like Doomadgee, Qld into it then many "bargains" posted here should be removed. Just because we don't all live on the coast doesnt mean we shouldnt get bargains.

so how many did you buy?

doesnt mean you should cut it down

        i didn't vote… and i was making a comment to the Rep, not you…

        • i didnt buy any because when i bought my stb it already came with the pvr kit.

Don't really know….Vast isn't only for those in remote locations; also suitable for, poor Digital TV reception and interstate travelers which is a broad market…not sure you could group everyone who uses OzB, appeals to a wide range of users in my experience. Good discussion point though…

  • Quick google search ( don't quote me yet will update tomorrow with verified figures) 400,000 is a figure for East/West coast currently paying for Aurora SatTV services. If you've got poor DTV reception over the air due to various reception issues the Vast system offers a "clear" alternative and this applies Australia wide, metro and regional areas….Having said all this, of course we do offer the Vast decoders as well so it's not limited…How many OzB members are there?

  • Well I got one, been thinking about getting one for a while.

  • Was looking for mother in law, - which model stb has multi tuners and pvr function and what is the requirement for this to work . is multiple subscriptions required?

    • Hi Ziggy1312, One and only Vast unit available to date is a single HD sat tuner recorder. Would you be looking to run multi-room? Maybe be best to give us a call or send an email with contact details and one of the support team will get back to you
