  • gIGaBYtE? Yikes

    • whats wrong with gigabyte? don't get me wrong its been a while since i bought a gigabyte card (i think the last one was the 700 series)
but i'v never had a problem with gigabyte. has their quality changed?

      • GPU - for 30 series, low end thermal paste shit, high end like Aorus is huge like 4 slot for no reason taking up space with little thermal improvement.
        PSU - exploded.
Motherboard - z690i having PCIE issue but fixing it so late, BIOS is shitty af
Case - watch Linus tech tips new video you will know what happened

        • interesting, i'll keep that in mind.

I'm genuinely suprised, my previous builds use to begigabyte mobo and GPU, never had a problem
lol i think i'm still running a ud3h z87 gigabyte motherboard with a gigabyte gtx 780 on my spare computer. It's still humming along perfectly to this day.

But will definitely keep note for the newer stuff.

Regarding cases….i didn't even know gigabyte made cases, lol

      • Looks like the black one also gets the 10% discount using the PLTTH10 code - $1,260.90

        • damn, once you go black, you never go back…

@[Deactivated]: Would you have posted it if you knew it was $1260 lol? You're going to crash the market at this rate be careful!

@Jimmy77: damn, you missed out big time. the description got updated.

    • I've heard they've improved, but I'll never touch Zotac again. My Gigabyte 1080 G1 is still going strong though.

      • i had gigabyte for the 500 and 700 series, never experienced a single problem with them….their look was pretty lackluster, but as far as reliability goes they worked perfectly, my 700 is still in use for a non-gaming rig.

zotac on the other hand…….i bought the zotac 1080ti amp extreme, had to return it 3 different times, each time i went to return it was a battle with the supplier, ontop of that i was left without a card for months each time.

not going back to zotac, ever.

    • Zotac has greater quality issues than Gigabyte

      • Its weird, I search 3080 in Ebay, and that Gigabyte one doesn't come up in the general results, even after sorting lowest price to highest.

Good find, would def prefer over the Zotac

  • why not 2x3060 bro?

    • 3080 has better resale value than 3060.

Not a deal. Usually $1299 anyway

I don't know man. $1259.10 Delivered is a pretty good deal.

The cheapest I could find was $1249 at BPC https://www.bpctech.com.au/product/n3080eagle-oc-10gd-2-0-gi…
Even with the shipping options to Sydney it is still cheaper than $1299

$33.00 Express Post (Signature on Delivery) Australia Post

        $16.00 Parcel(RED) Aramex

The pain caused by Aramex adds $16k to the price :)

        • +1

Hahaha…yeah I'd never deal with Aramex again. AustPost all the time

All I’m saying is that this “deal” falls within the range of what the usual current pricing is and isn’t considered anything special.
