    Its just an FM Transmitter on one end, and the headphones are simply a radio with a preset for the frequency.

    The quality is not very good, but these are very cheap however…

    Hahaha, no kidding? Well it was a clever idea to use the FM band. Cheap as chips, but I don't think I'll bite.

    My old man is 85 and deaf as a post. He uses a set of these with his TV and he swears by them (came from The Reject Shop - the headphones, not him). Only thing I had to do was rig up a battery eliminator to the base station, as it ate batteries a little too fast. The headset itself lasts ages on a pair.

    He actually likes the fact that you can also listen to FM radio on them.

    I had a pair of these once before - bought them for about $12. The quality isn't really up to average. If you don't need wireless, a pair of Sennheiser hd-201's might be better. Usually around the $20 -$25 mark when on special.
