Hoyts Optus Partnership Replacement ?

Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas about a replacement for the previous Hoyts Optus deal as that is now discontinued and it looks like getting reliable discounts to go to Hoyts cinemas at even a remotely similar price point is non-existent. If anyone has any suggestions I'd love to hear them otherwise my Cinema experiences will be limited to Tuesdays going forward, any thoughts or advise greatly appreciated.

Ask Optus, but do not expect an answer that makes sense.

  • lol RIP
one of the only good things that Optus provided over the last decade
Together with their absurd 500MB inbox capacity (forget the fact you can have 14 different emails under one account (14x500 = 7GB) but cant request more space in the one u actually want to use.
I see myself letting go of a 20 year account with Optus… just need 5G availability

I said to my wife on the weekend. If they want packed seats again they need to halve the prices for a year.

I'd go and see any old thing in the ten bucks a ticket range

I subscribed to Hoyts VIP that gives 25% off, but even that's expensive….

  • Yeah it was all such a good deal before so I'd go on the drop of a hat, especially when it was $15 for extreme screen recliner sessions and $18 for Motion Box … Paying more than double that seems hard to grasp, especially when going with 4 people.

  • I guess there is always Telstra and Event Cinemas …

No way Hoyts customers can ever go back to non-reclining seats.

If you have foxtel (or know someone who does) their rewards programme has $11.50 movie tickets for fri, sat and sun.

For those in WA with access to RAC membership, there are various discounts available, but nothing as good as the old Optus discounts :(
