      Not sure what you are talking about in half of your rant, but this is a fashion accessory and labelled as such. Fashion accessories are worth what people are willing to pay for them and don't necessarily have anything to do with what it costs to manufacture them. When a P.RL shirt is marked down from $150 to $90 that may sound like a great deal to some people and like an insult to some other people that they're trying to sell something that costs $5 to make for $150 in the first place.
      I'm a professional pilot and enjoy wearing my $6k Breitling and I also enjoy wearing my Avi-8 Blakeslee, and they're both aviation-related fashion accessories that are nice in different ways. If you don't like it then don't buy it.

        Your repetition of the "tribute" garbage that is copy/pasted into the boilerplate astroturfing 'review' sites is sad, but I thank you for your honesty in admitting that it is a request for money for a 'good story' and a piece of tat - albeit one that insults the memory of the pilots who would take my father through the flak to take his photos…

    Hi Rep, I like watches, any bargains? You're more likely to get upvotes if you post some actual bargains in the title or description.

    While you should always buy what you like it's worth pointing out you can get a quartz chrono for around these prices with 100M from a reputable brand like Citizen or Seiko. In fact you could even get a solar model (Citizen Eco-Drive).

    Breitling navitimer is also great.
    For me I have the longines spirit as my aviator.
    In saying that, from all watch designs, aviator watches are my least favourite

        They are.
        But there is heritage and pedigree behind those aviators.
        You should choose what you like but for those considering an aviator watch I just listed where to aim for a nice aviator watch.

        there are homages to swiss pilot watches if you don’t want the brand name ….. i’m more into dive watches and have been impressed with my quarts addiesdive for under $60 ….sapphire glass and ceramic bezel …… for me it’s a homage on a budget and brand doesn’t matter, for $200+ i’m expecting a brand name …..

      I think you mean its contemporaries like BF-109, FW-190 or maybe the JU-87 Stuka considering the role of many tempest aircraft(edit: apparently they never did as much ground role as intended :P whoops)…..
