For the people out there with big kahunas and want a well built lithium battery. This is a fantastic price on the 200Ah Lithium Battery by Itechworld. I personally bought this battery (along with several other itechworld bits and pieces) for my caravan 12 months ago and it is fantastic! They had fantastic customer service (I dealt with a Jarrod at the time) so I can't fault them or their products at all. Comes with a 3yr warranty.

    This vs eneloop?

    • I didn't know Eneloop sold 200Ah lithium batteries??

    • +4

Eneloop - can fit into most flashlights.

12v iTECH200 200Ah Lithium Battery - cannot fit into most flashlights

      Eneloop clear winner.

My mum tells me I have a very tiny Kahuna, can I still buy this?

    • This will turn your tiny kahuna's into large ones! Be careful though - elephantiasis is a real possibility!

  • 27kg! that's pretty impressive!

  • If only the AGM in my caravan was near EOL to upgrade to this!

    • Sell your AGM and put it towards this! That's what I did with my AGM battery that came with my van.

  • What sort of BMS does this thing have? Would need a pretty good balancing circuit!

    • +1

This is what's written on their website:

BMS/OPERATING SYSTEM - 100% of the iTECH200's capacity is usable. The internal BMS allows 250A continuous discharge; other sub-standard lithium batteries have either no continuous discharge rating or a low continuous discharge rating of 50A - 100A. The iTECH200's internal BMS controls cell balancing, over and under-voltage protection, short circuit protection, thermal protection, and has over-discharge protection (safe mode).

      • Could make a pretty good DIY Powerwall with a few of these.

  • Is there no full spec sheet?

Very frustrating to see cycle life listed in a promo paragraph comparing it to AGM instead of in the spec table. And then doing cycle life based on 50% depth of discharge? Even cheapies like VoltX use 80%. But they also don't list what charge/discharge rate that's based on so… maybe it's good? If it's 1C/1C then yeah that 5000 @ 50% is good. If it's 0.5C/0.3C then it's quite bad and probably used cells. I assume it's at 25C because that's standard but hey so is 80% DoD so I'd kinda like to see the specs.

    • They claim it charges at up to -20 Celcius which… does it have an inbuilt heater? It must because you can't do that below 0C without damaging the battery. But no heating is mentioned.

    • I'd suggest giving them a call and asking those specific questions. I'm sure they'll happily answer them for you.
