    There's an interesting youtube speed comparison on recent 4K TV's showing the performance benefits of using one of these for built in apps… supposedly most 4K still use 100Mbps ethernet ports

    • +1

      Yes this seems to be true even with the LG G1 Evo 65" that I bought, even though Im on a 200Mbps plan, it seems to really top out at 100Mbps or less even though its not that far from the router and other devices get much higher speeds than the TV do. I have watched those same videos you're referring to and was waiting for the price on this to drop so thanks OP.

    Can you share the link?

  • Any idea if this is compatible with a Google TV (via a powered hub)? My handful of various adapters work well on the Chromecast Gen3, but aren't recognised by the Google TV.

  • I have this for the Switch but surprisingly still get sh!tty speeds when playing multiplayer. Have even opened up specific ports I read about online.

      I'd rather get it from amazon for the free delivery and also reliability on returns/ post sales support, plus who wants to travel all the way out to msy for this? It would cost you more in petrol or delivery.

      • Well, need to have prime for free delivery.. and msy pretty close for my location..

      Is that adapter compatible with Nintendo Switch?

        If you click on the link, the big bold title on at the top of the product page will tell you if you read it.

          My question is in reply to the MSY link for “Rotanium (USB-GB01) "USB3.0" Gigabit RJ45 Ethernet Network Adapter”

          I was curious if @Den was sharing a cheaper adapter that is also compatible with Nintendo Switch.

            @unknown-entity: Aah sorry my bad.

            Not sure about the one that @Den has linked to. However you could call up MSY for confirmation, but I'd take it as if its not mentioned on the product listing, it likely isnt supported. Btw that's not my neg on your question to Dan.
