  Boycott Chris Lucas, he was a whinger throughout lockdowns and wanted to open up and kill people just so he could sell some overpriced food. This is just to make his bottom line look good to his investors, prices will probably go up by 20% soon to compensate.

    Whinging about a whinger! Kill people? Surely the jabs will save us all! Chin Chins is awesome! My favourite restaurant. Grill Americano is fantastic. Please dont go….easier for me to get in!

    More like he saw the insanity of destroying business well past the point it had any benifit and did his best to call it out. He looked after his staff and community more than he had to. While not cheap the food at all the Lucas restaurants is excellent. There was also no fake increase the last time these discounts were offered (Christmas I think).

    There have been numerous reports of underpayment from staff (source: am in the Melbourne hospitality industry) mass exodus of staff from newly opened restaurants, Exec chefs leaving within months of being opened. Constantly advertising for staff at his venues (yes it's damn hard to find good hospitality staff at the moment, but if you're truly offering great work/life balance and competitive wages then people wouldn't be quitting en mass)
    He politicised a suicide attempt from one of his staff members as a dig at the covid lockdowns. A lot of his staff weren't happy about that.
    His schtick is getting staff on visa sponsorship and trapping them in the low paid positions. Same as many other Melbourne restauranteurs (coughPickettcough)

  This has been running since before Christmas. They send the extra 20% voucher separate a few days later which means you either have to keep it for yourself or give 2 vouchers.
